Ogden, p.m.visit

                          Several Willow Warblers up singing

Swarms of flys over the pond
                               Usual Gt Crested Grebe
Good numbers of Coal Tits around including young

An evening dog walk around Ogden in birder but not bird friendly weather with warm sunshine , blue skies and a slight WNW >3.
The water just held the usual 2 Gt Crested Grebes along with 8 Canadas and a few Mallard as well as , surprisingly, the 2 Mallard chicks still evading the Crows.
A circuit of the water produced a few Willow Warblers plus the resident Robins, Dunnocks and Wrens. I think Blackcap and Gt Spotted Woodpecker have become extinct from here with no sightings of either last year or this for me although I never get up into the woods.
Empty skies tonight with this spell of weather stopping the movement of gulls.
