Waxwings closing in

A stormy sunrise over Black Dyke.
A blustery start to the day then the wind dropped slightly leaving a dry, half decent day.
More Waxwing reports today getting nearer to our area with a grapevine report of  25 at Huddersfield and reports this evening on Birdguides of  4 West Yorkshire sights, the nearest being 30 outside the Midland Hotel at Ilkley which is an annual hotspot , usually in the big car park behind WH Smiths.
On the home front, a flock of 38 Redwing and 2 Fieldfare flew >S over Chapel Lane this morning at 0735 and 4 Pied Wagtails were knocking about Foxhill park at midday.
A decent forecast so far for the weekend if they dont change their minds so we should turn something up.
