Dear You,
I fear that I tried to bite off more than I can chew - to write everyday a post is too much for me (especially in the days before Christmas) - and evidently for you too: we all have so many things to do!
I will return to normal posting and use the time to read and comment yours, to follow my many interests and tasks - in short: have a good time.
And that is what I wish for you too: a very good time, stay healthy, don't overdo the preparations for Christmas - just enjoy!
Yours truly, Britta
Blogging twice a week was always my limit, especially when I was still working. However the persistent problem for me was the length of each post. Over-writing is tiring for me and probably exhausting for readers.
ReplyDeleteDear Helen, your wonderful posts are always well researched and I learn a lot from them.
DeleteTo write them you need a lot of time! And as you say: a reader must have the time too (I have it!) - the problem is commenting, because there are other blogs too that want to be read and commented. I feel good with my decision to stop writing a post every day.
I remember writing every day. Eventually I exhausted my entire repertoire.
ReplyDeleteDear Joanne, I do not believe that you had exhausted your repertoire - people like us have a lot to talk about - but as you say: it gets exhausting for ourselves.
DeleteSo I am happy to have quit in time.
I know how you feel. It doesn't take long for it to become a chore. I used to post every day. Now I post when I feel like it.
ReplyDeleteDear Mimmylinn, I'm glad that you can understand my dilemma because you experienced the same! A chore is the opposite of spontaneous - and I think, we both love spontaneous.
DeleteI hope to read more on your blog "nature review"!
I am sorry not to have left a comment for so long or posted on my blog. I have been very ill and only now feel more able to use a keyboard - albeit on a phone! But I have been reading and it helps to see me through. Today I am posting similar comments on many favourite blogs I have read. From a hospital in France…
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the best, get healthy soon and thoroughly! Hopefully you can enjoy Christmas at home.
