It had been way too long since I last used alcohol ink on my gel plate. Hello and welcome to the Gelli Arts® blog! It’s Birgit here today sharing a fun technique using stencils on the Gelli Arts® gel printing plate. It’s quite a simple technique to create color in color prints with stencils. This technique works best when using stencils with larger open spaces. Start with applying a layer of acrylic

𝔹𝕚𝕣𝕘𝕚𝕥 𝕂𝕠𝕠𝕡𝕤𝕖𝕟-𝔹𝕖𝕣𝕟𝕤𝕥𝕖𝕚𝕟 🇳🇱 on Instagram: "Day 30 - Frottage Frottage is the technique or process of taking a rubbing drom an uneven surface to form the basis of a work of art. In this case I’m using wax crayons to create the frottage image with the leaves so I can use it as a resist for gel printing. Place the frottage piece on top of a layer of acrylic paint on the gel plate. Rub firmly so the paper will pick up all of the paint. The areas where the wax is will resist the paint which will stay behind on the plate and can then (after drying) be picked up with a second layer of paint.
