There's never been a better time to ditch Snap. Now that the app's terms of service say that it can use your selfies for AI-generated ads, there's even more reason to leave your snapping days behind.

If you're looking to delete your account, you're just a few steps away from doing so, all of which are below. But before you get started, keep in mind that even though you'll be deleting your account, the implementation is not immediate. Your account will be deactivated for 30 days, which means that no one will be able to contact or interact with you on Snapchat. 30 days after that, your account (including settings, friends, Snaps, Chats, and Stories, as well as device and location data in Snapchat's user database) will be permanently deleted.

Unfortunately, you can't delete your account directly on an Android device. You'll instead have to log in to the accounts portal via a web browser, select Delete My Account, and enter your password. Select Continue to confirm your choice, and then your account will be set to be deleted.
