Books by Loyd Auerbach
Read the real stories of the American and Soviet/Russian ESP programs and how ESP was used in intelligence gathering and other applications. Learn the greater story of why these major powers saw fit to put stock in something so many academics dismiss out of turn and what practical value was found for Military and Intelligence operations. Delve into the politics that led to, supported, and eventually shut down the psychic espionage programs – and why the US program, at least, has not been resurrected in light of the events of the first decade of the 21st century. With commentary and insights from the former US program director (Edwin C. May), the Army’s remote viewing agent 001 (Joe McMoneagle) and several Russian military/former KGB officers and experts, ESP WARS gives you an insiders’ view of what really went on, how it happened, and why.
This book will be of interest to anyone interested in ESP (especially Remote Viewing), as well as how ESP has been successfully applied in missions of last resort for the Defense Department, CIA and other agencies. The book will especially be of interest to those looking for material on the politics and funding of classified projects, as well as the people participating in them, supporting them, and those with an axe to grind.
The Russian (and Soviet) sources present readers with a narrative of the place of psychic abilities in their society and politics, how the KGB was (and was not) involved, how psychics were brought into political decisions and even how psychics ended up in tanks on the front lines in the war in Chechnya. Those interested in international politics will find much to chew on here as well, especially insight into what went on during a number of difficult political situations at the end of the reign of the Soviet Union. Also of great interest is the perspective (and experiences) of our high-ranking Russian sources with regards to the KGB. For a story that transcends merely dealing with the “psychic” in “psychic spying,” for a narrative of politics and classified projects, ESP WARS will hold your attention from start to finish. As a bit of a tease at the end is an appendix with declassified material from the US Star Gate Program.
The fabulous and fun‐to‐read new book, Exposed, Uncovered, and Declassified: Ghosts, Spirits, & Hauntings, tackles these questions and more, as some of the world’s best‐known paranormal experts come together in a tour‐de‐force of investigative journalism.
GHOST HUNTING tells what apparitions, hauntings and poltergeists really are. Ghostbuster Loyd Auerbach describes the many forms ghostly phenomena can take and the methods parapsychologists use to study them. He explains the technology used by ghost hunters and when equipment is and is not helpful. If you’ve encountered a ghost yourself, this book will show you how to investigate your experiences—a step-by-step and how to use the ghost busters methods to make you home "ghost-free"
In GHOST HUNTING you will discover
How to tell paranormal events from coincidence.
What’s really going on with poltergeists.
How to investigate ghost sightings.
What to do if you have a close encounter with a ghost.
How to befriend your ghost.
How to get rid of unwanted spirits.
All this and more.
GHOST HUNTING shows how to tells the difference between the normal and paranormal—the just plain weird. It describes how to investigate other-worldly experiences by using the methods of professional ghost hunters to come to the right conclusions and determine how to bust—or befriend—the presence.
If you want to hunt ghosts yourself, then read GHOST HUNTING, which is based on the real life cases of one of the most respected paranormal investigators on planet Earth. Learn how to approach ghost hunting as an objective parapsychologist would to uncover what is really going on. Includes step-by-step instructions for interviewing witnesses and launching an investigation
In this book, the subject is looked at in a variety of ways, taking the perspective that any action of Mind directly on matter or energy -- including on one's own body -- is PK. From that viewpoint, Auerbach considers anomalous performance in various sports and other physical activities, anomalous self-healing, distance healing and laying on of hands and related behavior, performance and phenomena.
The bulk of the book does deal with what Consciousness can apparently do with respect to affecting matter and energy outside the body: levitation, metal-bending, poltergeist phenomena, etc. Included in this discussion is the case of science/science fiction writer Martin Caidin, who displayed PK abilities under various conditions, and who contributed to a chapter on learning PK.
Finally, the book addresses issues of fraudulent PK. The author is also a professional mentalist/psychic entertainer and formerly a magician, so he knows of where he speaks.
This book, first published in 1993 and out of print for over 15 years, takes a look at the scientific and cultural evidence for and beliefs in several forms transmigration of the soul: reincarnation (rebirth), channeling (communication), and possession (by spirits and other entities), from the view of a well-known parapsychologist, his colleagues and his predecessors.
What enables two-year-old children to spontaneously talk about previous lives, sometimes with enough detail to track down that past-life individual?
Is a murderer who claims possession by a demon telling the truth?
Do extra-terrestials, beings from other dimensions, ancient Atlanteans, and even dolphins actually speak through channelers?
What scientific evidence exists for reincarnation?
Where might possessing spirits come from? How do we get rid of them (if they're really here)?
Can the experiences of the reincarnated, the channelers, and the possessed be of any help in the real world?
Loyd Auerbach attacks these and many other questions, providing evidence for and against these phenomenal experiences with honesty and in terms even the novice might understand...with a little humor added to boot!
Explore these subjects with a real parapsychologist (not one of the TV ghost hunters!)...Keep an open mind. This book will raise as many questions as it may answer, and what will read in this book may challenge some of your most cherished beliefs.
"Brilliant! The single most definitive work on the subject...your life will be changed from reading this book--and changed for the better."
Martin Caidin (1993), author of GHOSTS OF THE AIR and creator of "The Six Million Dollar Man."
"A THOUGHTFUL AND CHALLENGING EXPLORATION of some of the more provocotive questions confronting contemporary parapsychology. In the tradition of the late D. Scott Rogo, Loyd Auerbach steps in where more timid researchers fear to tread, without losing his sense of humor or his perspective. Stimulating reading for anyone seeking fresh insights into these controversial subjects."
Keith Harary, Ph.D. (1993), Research Director, Institute for Advanced Psychology, and co-author of HAVE AN OUT OF BODY EXPERIENCE IN 30 DAYS.
"AN EXCELLENT BOOK for those interested in learning about the state of the art (and science) surrounding some fascinating areas of the human mind. Loyd Auerbach brings a rare blend of good humor and common sense, as well as informed scholarship, to a subject usually presented with either hype or derision."
Marcello Truzzi, Ph.D. (1993), Director, Center for Scientific Anomalies Research, and co-author of THE BLUE SENSE.
