Biografía
[editar | editar la fonte]Matarazzo nació y crióse en Oyster Bay (Nueva York), fía de Camille, ama de casa y Ray Matarazzo, un xerente informáticu d'una cadena de panaderíes.[3] Matarazzo ye una descendiente italoamericana y foi adoptada y educada polos Matarazzo, una estricta familia italoamericana católica.[4] Estudió na Oyster Bay High School, según nel BOCES Cultural Arts Center High School.
Matarazzo empezó a actuar a la edá de seis años; dempués de requisar el micrófonu nun actu benéficu pa neños con sida, diéron-y la tarxeta d'un mánager, que caltuvo mientres diez años.[5]
En 1997, ganó un Independent Spirit Award pola so actuación en Welcome to the Dollhouse. Matarazzo declaró que lu encantar que-y dexen interpretar personaxes interesantes, dalgunos de los cualos "fueron condergaos al ostracismu por distintos motivos." Vida personal
[editar | editar la fonte]El 31 de xunetu de 2008, la representante de Matarazzo anunció'l compromisu ente Matarazzo y la cantante Caroline Murphy (nun confundir cola modelu del mesmu nome).[8] En 2005 foi la ponente principal na conferencia añal Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network en Boston.[9]
