The Google AdSense Team has sent me an email warning me that one of my other blogs, Old Paint, has pornography and/or adult content. As an example, they referred me to the 1932 label, in which one may find these two paintings:
I was told that unless I remove those images they can not continue to allow me to display ads on that or indeed on any other of my blogs that also contain images of nudity - which is perfectly possible, seeing as I love art.
I would have liked to contact whoever is the decider in the AdSense team, to inform him/her that neither Tamara de Lempicka nor François-Emile Barrauda were pornographers, nor did they produce anything other than quality content (not to say there is no quality porn) - but the same mind that could not tolerate the sight of these works of art understandably will also not tolerate to be contacted. They appear to be spooked by many things with no rational motive.
In this the AdSense team is not alone. For example, the team in charge of supervising the content of blogs has become sadly known for its tendency to feel upset over gay sites (including those that, like mine, are not pornographic) deleting them without justifying so to their authors - which makes perfect sense for, in truth, how does one justify a morally indefensible aversion? How does one justify a prejudice?
Seeing as it's not possible to talk to these people, nor would they understand me if I did, and they'd just get emotionally stressed for nothing; and seeing as I would not wish to cause any more emotional distress to people who already worry themselves so much over things that don't matter, I thought it best to simply transfer all my blogs to Tumblr, something which was very easy to do and not a bother at all.
The new address is Art Deco and there I will continue to do much the same that I've been doing here. So if you've liked it so far, just follow the link.
I'd like to thank Blogger for having served me so well throughout these years and I hope those responsible for these reprehensible decisions keep taking the pills. See you soon! :)

It's too bad that you have to pay for what is essentially others' bad behavior. I personally think the artworks you cite are lovely examples of their styles. I have subscribed to your new address and look forward to continuing to learn about the Art Deco period through the art and advertising.
Oh, thank you very much, Cathye. See you there! :)
I would like to speak english much better than I do to tell you how I can understand what you feel.
A few weeks ago, Flickr has sent me an email asking me to moderate all my photostream because it contains nudity!! So I have to change the status of many pictures like Bouguereau!! Or others!! And they changed the status of all my photostream. Now my photostream is not visible for all public.
I can't understand why they can compare nudity in art with nudity in pornography! Even the children can visit the museums of art!
I will continue to follow you on Tumblr where I'm "Alabaster" but I'll miss you on Blogger.
I understand your English perfectly! That too happened to my Flickr some years ago. I don't think they care so much about the content of your images as the content of what you say. It's like there's this unwritten rule that if you get yourself into arguments, they'll delete you under some pretext. So now I keep very quiet and I haven't had any problems with the powers that be since.
But Blogger is just diseased in its anti-body, anti-sex paranoia. Like you said, kids (hopefully) will see art nudes in museums, won't they? And won't this be good for them? Perhaps these days in America that wouldn't be considered appropriate? I hope Blogger's attitude doesn't reflect the U. S. general stance.
Thanks for the new address, updated the links in my blog. Stupid people at Blogger.
Sort-minded people that are empty inside them. Go to hell!!!
This is a nonsense!
You could say that they made a content-free decision. It certainly had nothing to do with the art you have posted here. Good Luck at your new location.
Blogger sucks, the only good thing about it is that is free. All it takes is one anonymous complaint (regardless that is completely devoid of merit), and Blogger moves to censor. To hell with blogger. I have already moved my blog to another host, and am looking at others. Censorship is wrong, period.
The editors over at something like, "Playboy," would not have made the mistake Blogger has made and I have a feeling they are not very sophisticated about art.
You have a wonderful blog, I am sorry you have had this stupid trouble and am very glad that switching has not been difficult and I admire the way you are handling it, good for you!!
Cheers,
addie
Oh and I am sorry, but that man's tush is clearly art!
addie
Thanks, guys! :) And lol Addie, yep, great thighs on that dude.
I have subscribed to your new address and look forward to continuing to learn about the Art Deco period through the art and advertising.
I as well understand U... i had some adsense publicity on my blog, tough I cancelled it all. Days after I created my blog the main subject of the publicity was russian girls that searched for husband, and that kind of things... And that painting is pornografic???? Selling russian girls over internet isn't that worse??? I don't understand them... It makes no sense.
But it was nice to discover your blog!! I'll check your new adress.

Tout... sauf pornographique !
C'est joliment érotique, tendre, parfois impudique mais jamais, oh grand jamais ces peintures n'avilissent ! Bien au contraire, elles subliment la femme, la nature même de l'humain...
J'aime !
Et suis enchantée de ces univers...
