Stirling Moss leading the 1955 Monaco GP in his Mercedes W196. The Silver Arrows of Moss and his teammate Fangio dominated the race, running 1-2 until half distance. Fangio retired with transmission trouble at the halfway mark, giving the lead to Moss.
