This is a question I get about hand embroidery all the time, and I understand why it might seem confusing. In some ways, the technique for both is exactly the same…they both use straight stitches that are next to each across “rows” of color. The difference comes where two colors meet. For satin stitching, the colors sit next to each other. For needle painting, the ends of the stitches are staggered and mix together inside the space where you want the color blending to occur. Pretty cool, wouldn’t you say? • • • • #everystitchcounts #instastitch #stitches #tangledupinfloss #seemyembroidery #embroidery #threadlove #needleworks #hoopartem Needle Painting Embroidery Tutorials, Satin Stitch Embroidery Design, Satin Stitch Embroidery, Needle Painting, Learn Embroidery, Thread Painting, Hand Embroidery Pattern, Needle Work, Modern Embroidery

I am hopeful for good things in 2022 🤞🏼Sending you lots of love 💗 please keep well 😘 I often get asked if you can use the plain weave on woven fabrics and yes you definitely can👍🏼 the goal with mending is to keep the hole from getting larger😄 I drew with a water soluble marker and used cotton embroidery floss and to make the weaving easier try spacing out your threads and use a darning needle. My cloth was not very tightly woven so that worked well👍🏼 #visiblemending 🎶by my son @l.liamb" Embroidery Hole Fixes, Clothing Repair With Embroidery, Pattern Darning Embroidery, Hand Embroidery To Cover Holes, Embroidery Visible Mending, Embroidery Over Holes In Clothes, Visible Mending Tshirt Hole, Easy Hand Stitching Ideas, Hole Mending Embroidery
