I have come up with a idea for a Christmas present! I have been seeing some really cool pillows all around on different blogs. My idea? I am going to make a different pillow cover for each month of the year and give them to my son and DIL for Christmas this year. I am using a 12" pillow form for all the covers.
My fabric/color inspiration will be this rug that my son and DIL in have in their house. The design and colors are so great.
So now at the end of the month I will link up with Darlene and Cheryl for the Christmas Through the Year challenge.
If you have seen any pillow tutorials that you would like to share, feel free. I can use some more ideas. With Passion,
Carrie P.

Wonderful idea, Carrie! Love that heart pillow, I'm not fond of Valentine's Day and all the pink and red hearts everywhere, so you know I love this, lol. Very understated but unique and lovely.

Cheers!
You always come up with some great ideas. I'll remember to save those pillow ideas for you. Have you looked on Pinterest?
Love it! What a great idea, love the fabrics.
Carrie I think that is an excellent idea....and so much more functional that those yard ducks...LOL.
I think it would make a fun exchange too....others can make them and swap....as long as the size of the pillow is consistent.
Way to go!
Smiles,
Kelly
This is so funny that you are working on pillows! I just finished two pillows for my nieces' birthdays and posted pics today.
Such a fun idea! And I can easily see how you found inspiration in that awesome rug they have. Love the heart (and I'm not even a heart person!). The turquoise stitching is a beautiful touch.

This is a great idea! Question...sew to fit exact or one inch larger? (such as finish 12" or 13" ) I've seen patterns for both. I need to finish these pillow covers I have and would like your opinion.
What a great gift and I love your idea of a pillow cover for each month! I like the quilting you did with the perle cotton!
Great idea! Your pillow came out beautifully.
Such a fabulous idea for presents. This has turned out so well and the bright hand quilting looks great, and well done on 'cheating' with the stripe fabric.
What an amazing idea Carrie. February is so, so cute!!! They are going to love getting a pillow top for every month. Thanks for joining us in Christmas Through The Year this month.
What a very unique idea-------an original.
