Quilt Aid USA 2010

Have you heard about Quilt Aid? Twelve Designers have created some really great blocks from a beautiful line of fabric to support the Addis Ababa Fistula Hospital in Ethiopia. I have supported this charity in the past. When I saw the blocks I thought it would be a great way to help out by buying some the blocks with a portion of the sales going to this charity. I am ordering four blocks to make a small wall hanging. Our quilty friends in Australia also have some other blocks designed for this charity.

I have gotten my first block from the Fat Quarter Shop with the other three on their way.
Look! I finally have some of my own applique to show you. I decided to join in and make the blocks from the Linen Closet Quilts. I liked the first block but...
I wanted to see the second block before I made my decision to join in. Well, I like it too. The third block is posted on Dawn's blog, so if you want to join in you still have time to catch up. The bird, stems, pink circles, and star are wool. I am making my blocks with both cotton and wool this time.
With Passion,
Carrie P.
