Well only a few more weeks before we get to devour some pumpkin pie here in Canada! Mmmmm pumpkin pie is one of my favs especially with Epicure Pumpkin Pie spice.
I love picking out a pumpkin every year with the kids. Last year we had the kids pick a pumpkin from the pumpkin patch but the year before that we went to the good ol' Pumpkin Tent. The tent topper "pop" was inspired by a card Julia Stainton made a while back...she is a clever girl and I adore her work!
I leave it with that since all I want to do is just post this card! *lol* it has been an eventful day indeed. Tomorrow's card will be up on time so don't you worry *wink*
Recipe
Paper: Mellow (Basic Grey), Chocolate Chip (SU!), Whisper White (SU!), Blue Bayou (SU!)
Ink: Jet Black StazOn
Stamp Set(s): Hello Pumpkin (A*Muse), Pumpkin Tent (A*Muse), Circle Borders and Corners (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Sponge, Oval Punch (SU!), Scallop Circle Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch (Marvy), Misc Ribbon, Copics, Dimensionals (SU!)
Hope you had a great day. Sorry for the late post.
Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Ways to use it challenge...
Yesterday's ways to use it challenge on SCS had us using something spiral on our card. Many people opted to grab the spiral punch. I have seen the filmstrip before but have never attempted one. I had fun making my doggie peak out the window. Isn't he the cutest dog you have ever seen? It is a retired CHF stamp.
My favourite part about this card is the "chain" holding the sentiment ruff day. It is made using jump rings. I have included a close up for your viewing convenience *wink*.
Recipe
Paper: Ruby Red, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip (SU!), Crate Paper DP
Ink: Basic Black (SU!)
Stamp Set(s): Dog (CHF retired), Ruff Day (SU!)
Accessories: Copic Markers, Spiral Punch (SU!), Sewing Machine, Circle Punch (SU!), Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy), Jump Rings, Misc Ribbon, Paper Piercer (SU!)
Have a terrific Friday and a stampy weekend.

A Butterfly in Thought...
I have this bright and busy DP (I just love it) that has been calling me! When I saw the size of the flowers I knew a butterfly would be best and of course I knew exactly what butterfly I wanted to use...a Papertrey Butterfly! To this day, my fav sets, which I must admit are growing monthly, are Butterfly Kisses, Little Lady, Faux Ribbon (especially the greetings)and now Beautiful Blooms. I grab these sets any time I get the chance.
Did you check out Nichole's ADORABLE Santa slated to be on sale this week? I often stay up a little later on the 5 day countdown just to be one of the first to see what is in store for her next release.
Recipe
Paper: Chocolate Chip (SU!), Whisper White (SU!), Old Olive (SU!), Metropolitan DP (American Crafts)
Ink: Chocolate Chip (SU!), Regal Rose (SU!)
Stamp Set(s): Butterfly Kisses (Papertrey Ink), Faux Ribbon (Papertrey Ink), Little Lady (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Stitched Roll Ribbon (7Gypsies), Polka Dot Ribbon (American Crafts), Gelly Roll (Sakura), Corner Rounder (SU!), Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch (SU!)
I know I keep saying it but WOWZERS for CHF! The stuff to come will knock your socks off. I can hardly wait for you to take it all in too.

SCS Sketch Challenge
It has been so long since I "played" along with the SCS weekly challenges. You may have noticed that the past few days I have been later with postings. One thing I find about posting late at night is that I don't always get the chance to play along with challenges. From time to time I enjoy waking up early and playing along. Although I do know that some of those wonderful challenge hostess' post early, there is nothing more refreshing than grabbing my cuppa joe and creating something fresh just after I have had a good night sleep. The mornings around here are a little more hectic as my son has started K...so that means I often don't get to post first thing even though my creation was finished a few hours ago. I hope you understand *wink*...I still intend to post every day...it just may be a little later than usual.
Today's sketch challenge is FANTASTIC! I absolutely love Rox's designs and can hardly wait to complete them when she posts them. I am still hooked on Papertrey Ink's Beautiful Blooms and of course this colour combo! It is so yummy.
Card Recipe
Paper: Victoria Lace DP (Fancy Pants), Stamper's Select White (Papertrey Ink), Chocolate Chip (SU!), Kraft (SU!)
Ink: Soft Skye (SU!), Close to Cocoa (SU!), Chocolate Chip (SU!), River Rock (SU!)
Stamp Set(s): Beautiful Blooms (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Scalloped Square Punch (Marvy), Corner Rounder (SU!), Polka Dot Ribbon (American Crafts), Ice Rhinestone (SU!), Dimensionals (SU!)
I promised a photo of my clip it up system. I have yet to put the remaining items on it but I took a few quick snapshots so you can see the work in progress.
Take a peak at my growing Bella collection *smiles*
On another note, I was completely thrilled that all my cards on Etsy were purchased yesterday! I posted them on there because my friend encouraged me too (thanks Ang!). I never imagined they would actually sell *LOL* I have posted a few more on there and will be adding more as I get the chance. If only I could add more time to the day.
Because I love to stamp and you do too!

Copic Flowers...
Well it's a new day! I have had my Copic Markers for just over a week now and I am feeling the courage to share a creation with you *lol*...those markers take some practice *wink*. In addition to trying a new tool, I decided to share a design using one of Asela's stamps from CHF (don't forget to stop by the CHF forums and gallery!)...I just love this sweet flower combo!
In an attempt to share some humour, the blue hue in the photo is the result of taking a photo in a blue room. My light setup had some issues tonight and I had to use a light in a different room hence the "blue hue" *lol*
Recipe
Paper: Pixie Pink (SU!), Whisper White (SU!), Blue Bayou (SU!), Bashful Blue (SU!), Close to Cocoa (SU!), Amy Butler DP (K&Co)
Ink:
Stamp Set(s):Indian Summer (CHF), Thank you For Your Hospitality (A*Muse)
Accessories: Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon (SU!), Rectangle Punch (Fiskars), Corner Rounder (SU!), Ticket Corner Punch (SU!), Circle Punch (Marvy), Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy), Copic Markers
Have a terrific week. Don't work too hard and make sure to save some time to stamp.

Today...
Do you ever wonder what today holds? I really like to create cards that leave an open message. 'Today" can really be anything...a new marriage, a new baby, a new job, a birthday, an anniversary...you get the point! I was feeling kind of scrappy today so you get a scrappy card. There are in fact brown buttons at the top but I can see that my laptop makes them disappear. I have heard that is common with laptops. Anyone else?
Recipe
Paper: DP (came from paper scraps..anyone know?), Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Real Red
Ink: Chocolate Chip Craft Ink
Stamp Set(s): Today (Ali Edwards)
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Coluzzle, Frills (Doodlebug), Brown Buttons (MME), Blue Buttons (SU!), Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy)
Note: Card is 5.25 x 5.25
Hope you have a terrific weekend. Don't forget that VSN is going on over at SCS

Something round...
Well I promised a card using the Beautiful Blooms set by Papertrey Ink however I have to download over 500 vacation photos from my photo reader card first *lol*...so today you will just have to settle with my round little lady card! I created this card in early August.
Recipe
Paper: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, Blue Bayou, MME DP
Ink: Basic Black, Blue Bayou
Stamp Set(s): Little Lady (Papertrey Ink) , Baroque Motifs, Fabulous Flowers
Accessories: Basic Black Stampin' Write Marker, Scallop Circle Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch (Marvy), Coluzzle with Circle Template, Oval Punch, Blue Bayou Double-Stitched Ribbon, Sponge
Note: I have never made a circle card before...this was my first! I used a CD metal tin to trace the outline since my coluzzle template wasn't large enough.
This was a FUN and out of the box kind of card for me. Even though I don't always "love" something new it doesn't stop me from trying a new technique, layout or colour scheme.
Thank you ALL for your support and comments regarding my acceptance to the CHF design team, you made me smile ALL day! Now...if I could only get over taking my son to his first day of Kindergarten (*sniff sniff*)...I'll let you know how it goes.
Because I love to stamp and you do too!

The stamp room is calling me...
I have another creation from earlier this month that I wanted to share but I have to tell you...the stamp room is calling me (screaming actually..or maybe that is just me). I have new stamps from MFT, A*muse, Papertrey Ink, Cornish Heritage and even Copic Markers and ALL of these items arrived while I was away. I can hardly wait until tomorrow when I break into these new things!
Although it is nice to go away you always come home to a mountain of laundry, odds and ends that need to be sorted into their respective homes and a lawn that needs mowing! Oh and don't forget the cats that need some TLC. After two days of unpacking I think I can say my house is in order.
Recipe
Paper: Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Really Rust, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink: Basic Black, Almost Amethyst, Certainly Celery, Always Artichoke, Whisper White
Stamp Set(s): Faux Ribbon (Papertrey Ink), Baroque Motifs, Long Time Friend, Both Way Blossoms
Accessories: Polka Dot Ribbon (May Arts), Circle Punch, Scallop Circle (Marvy), Watercolour Wonder Crayons, Aquapainter
Note: Card size 5.25x5.25
Hope you are having a fun weekend with LOTS of stamping.

The Bees
I made this card early last month for a submission. I ADORE these bees and I can tell you without a doubt that Beate had some influence in that department.
I figured a bright and cheery card would be in order for September. I can hardly believe that summer is coming to an end. Somehow the rain and fog for most of July and the overcast skies of August made it seem like spring rather than summer (anyone else???). I was fortunate to find some SUN during our vacation so my white skin looks a little less pasty...gotta love that strawberry blonde hair and fair skin.
Recipe
Paper: Whisper White, Blue Bayou, Cool Carribean, Chatterbox DP
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp Set(s): Bee Trio (Stampendous), Have a Bee-utiful Day(A*Muse)
Accessories: Prima Flowers, Scalloped Circle (Marvy), Corner Rounder, Sewing Machine, Paper Piercer, White Gel Pen, Stampin' Write Marker, Glitter Pen (Sakura), Ice Circle Rhinestone Brads
Have a super long weekend!

Hello and WOW!
First of all, I can hardly believe that I was chosen for the Guest Stamper for Papertrey Ink. I am SOOOOOOO excited.
I had a great time putting together this wedding combo. I wanted to create something simple and easily reproducible by others. As much as I like things to have many step cards *wink*, I also like to be able to show my friends and family how to do something quickly. Making wedding invites and accessories can be a daunting task so making it easier is better.
You'll notice that I used the rectangle Borders and Corners set for background of the card as well as for the frame around the table cards.
Recipe
Paper: Stamper’s Select White Cardstock (Papertrey Ink) Blue Bayou, Soft Skye, Kraft
Ink: Blue Bayou, Chocolate Chip
Stamp Set(s): Rectangle Borders and Corners (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Brown Striped Ribbons (May Arts), Rectangle Scallop Punches (Marvy)
Secondly, I just wanted to remind everyone I am still on vacation. It is incredibly hard to be away from my stamp room as well as posting to my blog on a daily basis but I must admit we are having a WONDERFUL family vacation. I do look forward to posting again VERY soon!
Because I love to stamp and you do too!

A Special Day...
Today is my wedding anniversary. 7 years ago today my husband and I exchanged vows and committed our lives to one another. It amazes me how quickly 7 years has flown by or the 12 years we have known each other. I can't express how happy I am to have him in my life--I love you Stephen!!!
I have been busy working on projects that I am unable to share right now--submissions mainly! But of course I wanted to make sure I had SOMETHING to share on my blog today so I am including a few of the last Dirty Dare challenges.
I had to create a "toile" card and let me tell you that was a challenge in itself until I found this DP *lol* It's a little too foo-foo for me, and I am not fond of this card but it was a fun challenge nevertheless.
Recipe
Paper: Chatterbox DP, Whisper White
Ink: Basic Black, Bashful Blue
Stamp Set(s): Best Blossoms
Accessories: Scalloped Rectangle Punch, Blue Taffeta Ribbon, Slit Punch, 1/8th inch hole punch
For this challenge, I had to create an ATC. I actually designed this ATC and then "remodeled" it later. I will share my remodel along with other FAB ATCs I received in a recent SCS swap tomorrow. All I can say is they are going to knock your socks off.
Recipe
Paper: Old Olive, Very Vanilla, My Mind's Eye DP
Ink: Rose Red, Old Olive, Basic Black
Stamp Set(s): Green Thumb (Papertrey Ink), A Treat for You (A*muse)
Accessories: Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch (Marvy), Word Window Punch, Ribbon (American Crafts)
Card: ATC 2.5x3.5
I also wanted to share a RAK I received from Sherry Siemens.
All I can say is THAT WOMAN CAN STAMP! I have been watching her blog for months now and I am soooooooo impressed with her growth and confidence in stamping. If you don't already know, she is a member of the MFT Design Team and I am almost positive we will see her work in magazines and with other manufacturers in the near future. Thank you so much Sherrie for making my day.
FYI I will be away from the computer during my holidays. I am hoping to find a few hot spots to upload new information so don't be shocked if you don't hear from me later this week. I WILL be back but it could be as late as Aug. 30th. During my break, I will be hosting a blog candy giveaway. I have yet to put the details together but will say it is for some GOOD stuff...by far my fav giveaway yet. 100000 hits after all is cause for celebration.

A lil' birdie told me...
This DD Challenge was to make ANY image look vintage. The effect is done with sponging colour layers (apply light colour to dark...I used Certainly Celery, Old Olive and Always Artichoke and finished it off with Close to Cocoa). It was a fun challenge and something I had never tried before.
Recipe
Paper:Chatterbox DP, Close to Cocoa, Whisper White, Kraft
Ink:Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Close to Cocoa, Old Olive, Always Artichoke, Certainly Celery
Stamp Set(s):Bird on Egg (Savvy Stamps), Faux Ribbon (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: 1 1/4 Circle Punch, Scallop Punch (Marvy) Corner Rounder, Blue Teffeta Ribbon, Sponge, White Gel Pen, Stampin' Write Markers
I hope you are having a stampy day.

A Beauty...
So after a day in the sun with my friend Angila *waving* I should be sharing a card with a BRIGHT RED CRAB on it or maybe just a photo of my back. Oh it even hurts to stamp! I am sure those of you who are fair skinned know exactly what I am talking about. Before you get concerned...I was wearing SPF 45 sunscreen!!!
I looked through my recent challenge submission and thought I would share an embossed card with you.
Do you know I have NEVER dry embossed a stamped image. Who knew it would be so fun? I loved it so much I tried it twice in one day.
The quick lowdown for those who have never done this technique before...
You will need:
1)Stamp your image on cardstock vellum using a permanent ink like StazOn
2) Place your foam in front of you. Once your image is dry, flip it over (so the newly stamped image is face down the foam)
3) Rub the surface of the vellum with wax paper to create a smooth gliding surface for your stylus.
4) Using a stylus, outline the image and then swirl over the inner portion of the image (so in this case the inside of the flowers and leaves).
5) Colour the image using your markers. And VOILA!
Recipe
Paper: Basic Grey DP, Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Purely Pomegranate, Vellum Cardstock
Ink:Jet Black StazOn
Stamp Set(s): Natural Beauty
Accessories: Scallop Circle Punch (Marvy), Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon, Green Ribbon (swap with Taylor VanBrugen) White Gel Pen
Note: Card Size is 4.25 x 4.25
Have a super day...and if you are planning to see Mr. Sunshine up close and personal (like me) please wear your sunscreen and reapply as necessary. Yes...this is your mother talking *lol* (just kidding about the mother part...not the sunscreen).
Because I love to stamp and you do too!

P.S. Have you visited Visual Verve yet? There are some pretty nice things in that store...and owner Julee Tilman is sure to wow us with new product in the months to come!

My Baby Phat...
One of the challenges was to create a card that was twisted...I don't often stamp something and think...hmmm how can I make this twisted but I think the idea is rather clever. As many of you know there is a designer who makes clothes and the line is called baby phat. I always remember thinking that maternity clothes were never too flattering. After being pregnant for what seemed like 3 years (the kids are 14 months apart) I can totally appreciate wanting to look good.
I dressed my bella up (paper piecing) and she is ready to hit the runway with her baby phat! I just love this preggers bella!
I was a little disappointed with the quality of this photo. My bella actually has a neutral skin tone not a PINK tone *lol*. I am not sure why her belly is so pink compared to her face but that is what the camera did to her! It looks fine IRL.
Recipe
Paper: Sahara Sand, Basic Black, 7 Gypsies DP
Ink: Basic Black
Stamp Set(s): PregaBella (Stamping Bella), Snap Stamps (Karen Foster)
Accessories: Stampin' Write Markers, Cuttlebug (Provo Craft), Circle Template (Provo Craft), Slit Punch, Hole Punch, Scalloped Rectangle Punch
Card size is 5 x5.25
I sure hope it is nice and sunny where you are! We are LOVING the sunshine here.

The last day of DD challenges!
It's hard to believe today is the last day of challenges. I am so behind in posting my challenges. I had a few that have been put on the back burner...hard to find my mojo to do them *lol* but I suppose that is why the call them challenges!
I have stamped a minimum of 4 cards per day. Those weekend challenges were really hard to do with 8 a day! Overall though, I am proud that I stuck it through and completed as many as possible. By the time tomorrow evening rolls around I should have completed over 90% of the challenges. How about you?
Today's card is one of my favs out of all my challenge cards. I borrowed the layout from one of Beate's previous weekend challenges (posted on her blog) and met the requirements for a colour challenge and an image requirement.
Recipe
Paper: Basic Black, Spring Showers DP, Chatterbox DP, Close to Cocoa, Kraft, Whisper White
Ink:Basic Black
Stamp Set(s): Ruff Day, Birthday Wishes (A muse)
Accessories:Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch (Marvy), Oval Punch, Coluzzle, Paper Frills (Doodlebug), Watercolour Crayons, Gamsol
Hope you are having a fab day!

And she gets dirtier by the minute...
I am talking about me of course completing the challenges on SCS! With 16 challenges on the weekend there is NO way I can keep up with posts to SCS *lol*. By the time I have completed the cards and then taken photos of them, altered the photos (crop and watermark) as well as listed all the materials I used to make the card I could call it a day. I promise I will be uploading all to my gallery and to my blog eventually *smiles*. I was fortunate to have a few hours to work today and even get my blog updated thanks to DH! He actually has ONE day off.
Now I will share one of my Wednesday challenge cards with you...
Recipe
Paper: Sage Shadow, Chocolate Chip, Kraft, Outlaw DP
Ink: Basic Black, Chocolate Chip, Creamy Caramel, Really Rust
Stamp Set(s): Wanted
Accessories: Ticket Corner Punch, Scalloped Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch, Paper Piercer, Vintage Brads, Sponge, Chocolate Chip Stampin' Write Marker
As well as one of my Saturday challenge cards that meets the requirements of TWO challenges (wohoo!)
Recipe
Paper: Tempting Turquoise, Pumpkin Pie, Purely Pomegranate, Watercolour Paper
Ink: Basic Black, Pumpkin Pie, Purely Pomegranate, Whisper White, VersaMark
Stamp Set(s): Petal Prints, Tres Chic Background, Baroque Motifs
Accessories: Water Spray, Scalloped Scissors (Fiskars), Hodgepodge Hardware, Purely Pomegranate Double Stitched Ribbon, Heat Tool, Glassy Glaze
You can hardly see it but that stamped image is covered by the cracked glass technique. Not sure how I will get a photo to show you *lol*. Too bad you can't see the card IRL.
If you have been completing some of the challenges I would love to hear about it. Post of comment and link me to your gallery!

Card Tip: I usually work on my cards in stages. That doesn't mean to say I don't get some accomplished every day but sometimes I am ambitious and make 4-6 different designs in one sitting. If that is the case I work fast and furious to get them done but of course there is the interruption for "snack time MOMMY!" or "you need to make us dinner now because if we don't eat we might die you know!" or "can you find my Littlest Pet Shop...you know the dog (aren't they ALL dogs??? lol). Fortunately I have developed a system JUST IN CASE one of the above happens. I keep my cards in scrapbook folders. It is great to keep all the pieces together and then when I have a chance I will work on it again, hence my posts that say..."I have been working on this for a while now..."Have a super duper stamperific day! I hope to see your designs in the DD Challenge gallery too.

Do you dare get dirty?
That is...are you a member of SCS's Fan Club? Are you celebrating the Dirty Dozen's 3rd birthday? Well I am and I plan to share it along the way. If you are not already a member of the Fan Club I HIGHLY recommend joining. It is SOOO worth the $ and just think about how that money goes into maintaining SCS (that is worth it's weight in gold!).

Oh thank goodness for a card!
I have had this card in the works for just about a week now and finally finished it today. It has been a work in progress and not because it was hard to make but because of the "mommy syndrome". Some time last week Allison Fillo posted a video clip from the Family Guy on her blog. I know there are many Family Guy fans out there (I by the way am NOT a fan of the show...but DH is) so anyways, the cartoon shows the baby repeating the word "mommy" (Lois, mom, mommy, mama, ma, mom, mommy, mumma and then she answers "What??? to which he replies 'Hiiii with a sickening laugh and then runs away) well that has been my life this past week....so I am glad to report the kids are safely tucked in their beds and I can FINALLY post my card *lol*.
I am also delighted to post a few more pics of organization chaos to keep you motivated in your own rooms/spaces.
So I go to take photos of these things for you and the battery is drained! I had to wait an HOUR for it to recharge...glad today is almost over *lol*
RECIPE
Paper: Going Grey, Basic Black, Whisper White, Sahara Sand
Ink: Basic Black, Whisper White, Bashful Blue, Going Grey
Stamp Set(s): Little Lady (Papertrey Ink)
Accessories: Scalloped Circle Punch (Marvy), Circle Punch (Marvy), Paper Piercer, Glitter Gelly Roll Pen (Sakura), White Gel Pen, Hodgepodge Hardware, Ribbon ($1 M's), Oval Punch, Basic Black and Bashful Blue Stampin' Write Markers
More Storage/Organizational Ideas
Reinker/Stickles/Pearls Storage--my FIL made these cute little trays using scrap wood. I store the reinkers by colour family and the stickles, pearl etc together. BTW, the large stamp pad holder you saw in a previous post was also made by my FIL...he's a handy guy!
Adhesives--I store my small and misc adhesives in a plastic drawer tower. Each drawer is labeled at the front....I am big on labels. The bigger adhesives that don't fit the drawer are either parked on my desk or stored on a shelf.
Daubers--I store my daubers in SU! channel boxes (for alpha stamps). I store two colour families per box. I have yet to label each one but I am considering it.
Have a terrific day!
