Snow-Body Like You!

Today I'm playing along at Crazy is Our Fame, Stencils Are Our Game where the January challenge is Hello/Winter. You're to use the word "hello" on the card and/or make a winter design.. .and of course.. Use a Stencil!

This snowman design is entirely stenciled using the Waffle Flower Oversized Snowman. Since most of the card remains white you just ink the background, earmuffs, scarf and facial features.

To add a pattern to the scarf I inked the scarf in red, and then added a snowflake pattern stencil over scarf stencil. I inked in a darker shade so it is subtle like a watermark.

The rosy cheeks were added with a dauber dipped in Spun Sugar Distress Ink.

The sweet sentiment is from the Snow Cheer stamp set. I love the script font that looks handwritten.

Waffle Flower January Release Sneak Peek Day 3

It's Day 3 of sneak peeks of the Waffle Flower new January release! The products will all be available TOMORROW when we'll be celebrating with some prizes on Instagram! Today we're sharing projects featuring the new Feather Pen Die-n-Stencil set.

I cut the Feather Pen die from soft pink cardstock and then inked it in darker shades using the coordinating stencil set. The finishing touch is the nib of the quill and the die that adds the ribbing to the nib.

Did you spot the new background? This is the new Bookshelf Panel Die. It coordinates with the Bookshelf Panel Coloring Stencil. I cut the die with light blue cardstock and then added some color to every other book with a darker shade of ink. I finished it off with the detail stencil and some gold embossing paste.

To add even more gold I layered the background on gold glitter paper, teal cardstock and then finally the card base. The sentiment is from the Love Thanks stamp set.

Waffle Flower January Sneak Peeks Day 1 - Open Book

Hi friends! I hope you had an amazing Christmas and a spectacular New Year! I was blessed with a visit from my daughter and her family. I was so excited to see my granddaughter - it's been too long! They're headed back home and I'm back to making it all!

You picked a great day for a visit because January 2-4 I'm sharing sneak peeks of the Waffle Flower January release called Far Far Away! If you love getting lost in a good book or fairy tale this release is for you!

Today I'm sharing a sneak peek at the new Waffle Flower Open Book die set. The open pages are perfect for embellishing with your favorite stamp set or the coordinating Dragon Castle Stencil or the Floral Stencil that I used today.

If you look close you'll see a script design cut into the pages of the book that is made with an optional die from the set. You can also stamp your own script in the book with the coordinating Open Book Sentiments stamp set.

I added a cute girl with her ox from the BFF stamp set. This set includes paired couples.. a boy and his dog, a girl with her dragon and more.

A flourish of leaves from a previous release - Pumpkin With Stem - is creeping from the pages, and the sentiment is also from the new BFF set.

Merry and Bright!

I can't believe how fast this month is flying. Christmas is just around the corner! And no I am not ready! I hope you are and that your plans are coming together. Today I'm sharing a fun almost completely Distress inked card.

The Waffle Flower Retro Christmas Tree is a die cut tree and ornament set that you ink with the coordinating stencils. Don't worry! Everything is included in one package!

You can ink up the colors as you like - I'm a bright sort of gal myself! LOL! I inked the tree layers, and the ornaments and then layered them on a Distress Oxide background panel in orange, pink and yellow.

I placed a little circle behind the gold star on the top of the tree so it looks like a halo. It also helps the star from disappearing into the yellow background.

A simple banner sentiment finishes off the card and adds more fun to the design with it's jaunty hanging letters.

Waffle Flower December Release Sneak Peek Day 3 - So Pond of You

It's Day 3 of the Waffle Flower December Release Sneak Peeks! Today it's all about the frogs at the pond. This is the perfect time to show you this month's free giveaway.. the Small Frog Die.

My creations always start the same.. I arrange the images on a piece of clear plastic the size of my card base. This allows me to move things around until I'm happy with the arrangement. I can also slide the background under the clear piece to get a sneak peek of the finished design.

I created a Distress Oxide background for the pond and greenery. This gives a softer look to the design. I inked in the pond with the Pond Stencil as well as the punny Pond of You stamp sentiment.

Knowing what images would go where allowed me to figure out where to stamp the little flies too!

I think the star on this card are the two little frogs in the water. I gave them silly eyes to make them a little more interactive.

Waffle Flower December Release Sneak Peek Day 2 - Swan of A Kind

It's Day 2 of a three day sneak peek of the latest Waffle Flower Release called Better Together! All of the new products will be available in the store on December 5! Today we're going to the pond!

We've got a new Postage Collage stencil, these Loving Swans, a Pond Stencil, and Pond with Lilly Pads die set so you can make lots of fun scene cards.

I inked the background with the Shimmering Water Stencil before adding these Loving Swans complete with chicks. The lily pads and flowers are from the Pond With Lily Pads die set.

There's even a new Swanderful stamp set with lots of punny sentiment perfect for the loved ones on your list.

I adhered most of the elements with adhesive foam tape to look like they're floating on the pond.

Waffle Flower December Sneak Peek - Intertwined Swans

Well hello there! I hope that you had a great Thanksgiving with an extra long weekend! It was so strange to have four days together with Mr. J. We went walking together everyday and now I'm missing him!.

Today begins three days of sneak peeks of the latest Waffle Flower Release. The focus of this release is #BetterTogether. This could mean friendship, love, family, etc.

Today I'm sharing a peek of the new Intertwined Swans die. The two swan cut outs have a fold flap that attaches to a card base so it opens like a gatefold card. The swans have separate dies for the flowers, beaks, face mask, crown and hearts.

I adhered the Intertwined Swans to a stenciled background made with the Overlapping Hearts Stencil. I ink in shades of blue because I wanted the background to look like reflections on the water.

The sentiment is from the new Swanderful Stamp set. It does have a set of coordinating dies so they are easy to cut and work with.
