Using Karle Pearson’s coefficient correlation tool, coefficient correlation has been calculated & examined that positive relationship exist between Plant Load Factor and overall profitability, during research period. ‘t’ - test was applied to accept & reject null hypothesis. Thus this research paper supports the normal phenomenon that higher PLF results into higher or better returns on assets.

It also leads to develop a conceptual framework of relationship marketing practices in Indian banks by capturing the perspectives of consumers with respect to their satisfaction with various services. Data from 110 survey respondents was collected from the selected prominent retail banks in the city of Vadodara (Baroda), Gujarat. This study also tries to analysis the major variable which plays a critical role while opting saving accounts offered by various banks. During the research period various statistical tools were used to unearth the inter-relationship between various factors like saving account, education, occupation & annual income etc. In nutshell the respondents were very much safety conscious and looking for saving account which offers maximum benefits with minimum risk involvement to safe guard their hard earned money.

operational efficiency on overall profitability of Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited
(GIPCL), based on published data during 2005-06 to 2010-11. Accounting Ratio i.e.
Activity Ratio is a more important source of operational efficiency & overall profitability.
Activity ratios include those ratios, which highlight upon to activity and operational efficiency
of the business firm. Operational efficiency refers to the profitable, efficient and
judicious use of resources (financial) available to an organization in perfect consonance
with clearly laid-down financial policies relating to the operation. Using Karle Pearson’s
coefficient correlation tool, correlation has been calculated & examined that insignificant
positive correlation between operational efficiency and overall profitability exists, during
research period. ‘t’-test was applied to accept & reject null hypothesis.

Objective of this research work is to assess the operational performance of Orissa Power Generation Corporation Limited who is engaged in generation of power which is transmitted to end consumers through intermediaries. Slacks-based measure (SBM) of efficiency proposed by Tone (2001) has been used to assess operational performance. The results have shown that 25% DMUs are efficient and having constant return to scale and remaining 75% inefficient DMUs are having increasing return to scale. SBM measure also helped inefficient DMUs in identifying the inputs slack and ways for becoming efficient. Kendall’s monotonic correlation has applied on pure technical efficiency (PTE) and earnings per share (EPS) to conclude that there is a no monotonic dependence between PTE and EPS. Results of this research paper is going to be useful for policy and decision makers in order to achieve better overall performance and providing reliable energy at reasonable rate to final consumer or society at large.

This is even true in case of rapidly developing country like India. Objective of this research work is to assess the relative performance of western Indian state of Gujarat's thermal power plants (coal/lignite based) over a period of year from 2011 to 2012. Gujarat is India's leading power generating state. Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is utilized in assessing the technical efficiency of Gujarat's power plant/units and tried to identify relatively best performing generation units against worst performing units. This will lead to expose the ways of potential improvement for the inefficient units. The study utilizes the DEA model, which clearly indicates that private owned generation units have no more advantage over state owned generation units. Scale inefficiency is highly dictating the Government owned generation units.

Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is utilized in assessing the performance of India‟s leading bank. The study aims at identifying the relatively best performing year and relatively worst performing year and what is the potential improvement for the inefficient branches. The study utilizes the DEA method along with the traditional method of financial ratio analysis to provide a comprehensive and complete picture of organizational performance.

We suggest that for these SMEs innovation is a personal process, and that how innovation is defined may be related to the firm's dominant business model. 'Recipes' bundling a combination of ingredients, product, process, packaging and delivery arrangements provide some uniqueness in what is offered. Parallels with recombinant innovation concepts are suggested. Clients and suppliers are the most likely innovation collaborators, but external researchers may be engaged through strong personal ties. The likelihood of more formalized approaches to research and innovation increases with firm size. On the demand side, regional food preferences that may be shaped by ethnic and religious mix influence product, process and packaging innovation. On the supply side, regional agriculture strengths influence the dominant types of food manufactured. Future research opportunities are suggested.

SMEs play a crucial role within this. Large manufacturing firms largely dominate innovation studies in India. Innovation sources used by SMEs are often different from that of large firms. This paper focuses on exploring various sources of innovation adopted by food processing SMEs in Kerala, South India. Outcome suggests that SMEs use various sources like suppliers, competitors, employees, government/research institutions and customers to get new ideas.
