Birthday Fun

I’m sorry this took so long to get here but I had to do a bit of editing and
three different people at least took videos…the gal who comes in before me is my
best-est buddy Cheri, we had been shopping all day, I had NO clue, you can tell
when they should “SURPRISE” I let go of the door and backed out of the room, I thought I had ruined someone else's party! lol

This was such a wonderful day!  Thank you to everyone who had a hand in it!  I felt so very special!

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone…..

OK this is going to be a photo heavy post for sure…..so grab a cup of something wonderful and settle in….:):)

First I was in Sue’s Valentine Spoolie Swap with a wonderful new friend named Kari.

Then came all of the other goodies…..

All of this vintage goodness was wrapped in the vintage towel in the middle of this collage…..and yes, that is an authentic Shirley Doll Pin that came with the doll!  Beautiful Match Box treasure chest of goodies!
Look what was inside the little tin with the milk bottlecap on it:

Kari you did an amazing job!!!!  I am so glad we finally got to meet! Oh and Kari, that wonderful Chocolate is all gone! lol

My next swap partner is a friend I have had for years now via blogging and we never got to be swap partners!   Her name is Lynn S. This was for my Valentine Swap….

Here is the Handmade box she painted and decorate for me….love the top!

Lynn went way overboard and sent me lots and lots of my favorites!

I also bought a great vintage 1958 Valentine punch out book….

I am going to mat and frame this……can you believe how cute????



As you can see, some of the cards are gone, but I thought for 10.00 this was worth every penny……
Oh, and wee took Bailey to Pet’s Mart grooming for her free puppy makeover, there was a miscommunication on what “smooth” meant when it came to “trimming” her face!

They took all of the hair off of her face….lol…we laughed all the way home, thank goodness it grows back!

Happy Birthday to me!

                           

That's right, I turned the big 60 today!!!!!

I went out with my friend Cheri on Saturday and we spent the day shopping, it was so fun!  Little did I know she was keeping me busy....Wayne had a HUGE Surprise Birthday Party for me!  I was so shocked I thought I had walked into somebody else's party!  lol

So many good friends, family and even a classmate of mine from high school I haven't seen in at least 25 years!  It was wonderful!  Great Mexican food, great decorations...all "1950's" style....I couldn't figure out why there were "1950's" type decorations....maybe because I was born in 1954!  Duh! And wonderful presents!  I am going to be posting a video and some photos as soon as I can.....
Until then, I thought I would show you some items I have gotten in the mail lately...

A wonderful Valentine from Tammy ( Tammy's in Love) 

These wonderful books were on Ebay, it is the whole set of 10.  The Set is called "Through Golden Windows" and are chock full of stories and illustrations, but I just loved the different colors of the covers!  Happy Birthday to me gift...:)  

A wonderful hand painted plaque from Jenny Matlock, we traded for a few yards of vintage toweling....LOVE it!

I wanted something in blue to go next to my Penny Rug that Elizabeth made me, and I ordered this through the mail, it couldn't be a better match and I just love what it says.....

I have goodies from Deb ( Garage Sale Gal) and Meri ( Imagimeris) and lots more....I will get them

posted  as soon as people send the photos to me!  

Saturday was an incredible day!!!!  It couldn't have been more of a surprise or more enjoyable, thank you everyone that helped Wayne, Bryan and Chris make it perfect!!!
