Nintendo Selects is a label given by Nintendo to certain games on their consoles that have sold notably well. When a title receives the Nintendo Selects label, it receives new box art with the Nintendo Selects banner and frame around the edges. They are sold for a lower price than their standard counterpart.
The Nintendo Selects replaced the former Player's Choice label, and was used from 2010 for Wii titles to 2016 for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS titles.
In Japan, Nintendo Selects are instead known as the Minna no Susume Selection, or Happy Price Selection. Some games that are a part of the Happy Price Selection line are not part of the Nintendo Selects line.
