Burmano is a character in Tears of the Kingdom.[2]

Biography

Burmano is a Hylian who resides at Lookout Landing. He carries a Soup Ladle. As the newest member of the Emergency Shelter, he has been tasked with Cooking for all of the other inhabitants.[3][4] According to Scorpis, Burmano has been struggling to come up with daily menus.[4]

In the Emergency Shelter's Kitchen, Burmano can be found contemplating Cooking healthy Meals.[5] When Link approaches him, Burmano recognizes that he is also new to Lookout Landing and introduces himself.[3] He wants to make a Fruit and Mushroom Mix due to how fancy it sounds, but he needs an Apple in order to complete the Recipe.[6] Following this conversation, the Side Quest "Today's Menu" will begin.

Should Link already have an Apple when he speaks to Burmano, he will be able to smell it.[7] When Link returns to Burmano, he once again complains about having no Apples.[8] If Link chooses not to give an Apple to Burmano, he reiterates that he would be able to make his Fruit and Mushroom Mix if he had one.[9] If Link gives Burmano an Apple, Burmano offers his Meal to Link.[10] After Cooking a Fruit and Mushroom Mix, Burmano dubs it his special mix and gives some to Link.[11] Afterwards, he admits that all one needs to make it is an Apple, a Mushroom, and a Cooking Pot, and he encourages Link to try making it himself.[12]

Following the Side Quest, Burmano will again thank Link for bringing him the Apple.[13] He is happy that he will be able to provide energy to the Monster-Control Crew.[14] Burmano then allows Link to use the Kitchen's Cooking Pot.[15][16]

When Link next visits the Emergency Shelter, Deon will inform him that Burmano left for Hyrule Castle.[17]
