Overview
"Basic Controls" explains how to attack with the Warriors and how to Evade attacks. Its first page teaches for Warriors Style controls that Regular Attacks can be performed using the Y Button, Combo Attacks can be performed with the X Button, the B Button can be used to make Warriors Evade, and that the A Button can make them use Special Attacks.[3] With Zelda Style controls, Regular Attacks are performed by the B Button, Combo Attacks are performed with the Y Button, Evading requires the A Button, and Special Attacks use the X Button.[4] The associated image depicts the Button Settings menu for Warriors Style controls when using a New Nintendo 3DS in Hyrule Warriors Legends and using two Joy-Cons in Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition.
