Viking Swords: Find Your Sword From History
The favorite weapon of the Vikings was the sword. Vikings were warriors of the European Dark Ages, who terrified everyone in their way. When not on a raid or battlefield, they were regular people who farmed and cared for their families. Their daily outfits consisted of a tunic, trousers, a cloak, and a trusty shortsword known as Seax, usually worn horizontally at the front or behind for self-defense. This weapon was also used in battles, when the wearer had a large shield and mail armor. He carried the Viking sword, a double-edged weapon with a broad blade and exceptional cutting ability, capable of causing blunt damage through mail armor. Some warriors, like the legendary berserkers, wielded a massive two-handed axe ideal for chopping through any target.
