I have a gift card for 250$...now what?
A:
Tragically REDD closed, but Red Wood down the street is still open. See if they would give you a refund, if not it would be enough for four at RED Woodbut not the same thing. If you get a refund see if you can get a reservation at French Laundry… more

Beautiful setting. Excellent service. Outstanding food.
Came for brunch and enjoyed the steamed pork buns yummy sauce and perfect in every way. The shrimp and grits rival those in Charleston SC. And the huevos rancheros were huge and uniquely smokey in flavor and so good. One in our party had the smoked salmon on bread with scrambled eggs and it was gone!
Creative cocktail list and classic go tos. We will be back.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 25, 2018
Very beautiful interior, classy decors, and quiet ambiance.
Love the natural lighting and flowers surrounding the space.
Ordered both main course & dessert (pics below)

We chose this restaurant as our last dinner in the Napa area. We wanted something reasonably priced and a casual enough to eat after a day of wine tasting. We were immediately seated in a corner booth. We had reservations for an early dinner to beat the crowd. Plenty of (free) parking along the streets and there are a couple of nearby lots. There's a cute patio outside, but it was a bit on the warm side.
We ordered the following:
-Complimentary bread/ butter: Sourdough and butter. Average.
-Glazed pork belly: Great flavor! Pieces are small and great to have as a tease.
-Prime New York Steak and short ribs: I enjoyed the meal itself. I'm a ribeye girl so eating a NY was a little tough for me. I felt as though it was more medium than medium rare. Short rib was tender and also had a great flavor. This is a great dish to have since you have the best of both worlds.
-Lamb Loin: I had a taste, and the meat was good. Great flavors and hearty with the accompanying beans.
-Birthday Chocolate Tart Dessert: We were so full, but since we were celebrating my birthday, the restaurant was nice to bring out a chocolate tart. YUM!
We had a positive experience at Redd and a great meal. I would definitely recommend checking this place out if in the area.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Apr 21, 2017
Made reservations for a Thursday night dinner. This place gets busy so it's better to make reservations. The customers were all white and we were the only Asians. We felt a little out of place but the food was good. We decided to do the tasting menu for 5 courses ($85). My boyfriend and I received all different dishes so we could try each other's food. All the food was delicious. The desserts were interesting.
Ahi tuna tartare
Hamachi
Petrole sole
Sea scallops
Duck confit
Pork belly
Beef
New York steak
Orange carrot dessert
Chocolate caramel dessert
Service was attentive and fast. We also ordered a bottle of Redd cab blend wine that was quite good ($65). Price was good for the amount of food we had. We were stuffed. Definitely try the tasting menu!Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 21, 2017
I am sad to say that Redd was not my first choice for dinner out, and we were not hungry enough to go for the prixe fix dinner, which I assume would have been great. We could walk right in for an early dinner without a reservation, and it was recommended by folks at 2 of the wineries where we stopped.
We had the sashimi appetizer that was every bit as good as anything I have had in any sushi restaurant. I can't recall the other app, not that it was bad, but it faded behind the hamachi and the lamb loin we split for the main entree. Absolutely fantastic.
Then we had a pair of desserts, and rolled ourselves out to the car.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Mar 8, 2017
Redd was one of the least memorable Michelin-starred restaurants that I've eaten at. It's such a shame since I've had so many mind-blowing foodie adventures in Napa Valley. However, this one paled in comparison due to poor service. My experience is probably the anomaly here, but we waited for an eternity in between getting seated and our food coming out. It was impossible to flag down the servers to place our order, and even after we successfully did, it took a long time for the kitchen to prepare it. Nobody checked up on us throughout the course of the meal, so we had to constantly call busboys over for water refills.
My family ordered three dishes to share since we weren't too hungry. In the end, we decided on the caramelized diver scallops, the Redd lobster club, and huevos rancheros. The food probably tasted fine to be honest. Unfortunately, by that point, the entire table was too fed up to care.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 25, 2017
We kind of wound up at Redd by accident but I'm so glad we did! We were on Yelp looking up some light fare for lunch, still full from breakfast pastries from Bouchon. Redd's menu fit the bill so we walked over in the pouring rain after checking out at Bardessono.
We ordered the kabocha squash (my current favorite!) soup, the tuna tartare, and the pork belly buns. We were about to order a fourth dish but our sweet waitress told us it would probably be too much food if we weren't all that hungry.
We shared everything and enjoyed everything! You really can't go too wrong with squash soup in my opinion, but the tuna tartare was a revelation. It was flavored perfectly, a little sweet, a little spicy, and the rice cracker added a nice crunch. I seriously could have eaten the whole thing by myself. The pork bun was also good and flavors are pretty authentic (I'm Chinese so I've eaten a lot of pork buns in my lifetime). The bun itself was perfect, although If I had to be nit picky, I'd say the sauce was a bit on the salty side and there was too much of it.
Overall we enjoyed the meal and will most likely be back again for another lunch or to try their dinner menu. Redd is a solid spot and fits in well with this area known for high-caliber restaurants.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 27, 2018
A very cozy comfortable restaurant with indoor and outdoor seatings. Dishes are Inspired with an Asian Fusion twist. Our appetizers were pork belly, hamachi/tuna, and the roasted beets. The pork belly melts in your mouth with a caramelized glazed that cut through the pork fatty tissue. The refreshing sauce drizzled the fresh hamachi and tuna. The avocado sauce married well with the roasted beet. Main course, scallops and fried chicken sandwich. Scallops were charred well not over cooked. The creamy sauce was velvety smooth with a right hint of seasoning. The fried chicken was crispy and the picketed cucumber freshened the bites. Amazing food and eye pleasing presentations.

I had a wonderful time here on a recent Napa trip. Our group of 4 had reservations here for lunch. We arrived 15 minutes late and were still accommodated and promptly seated, which was nice.
We ordered the tuna tartare, corn soup, duck confit, wild mushroom risotto, and lamb meatballs among the four of us. All of the dishes were wonderful and we had no complaints. We shared all four dishes and it was plenty to eat. My favorite was the tuna tartare and the mushroom risotto. The tuna tartare was tender and fresh and had fried rice sprinkled on top. The mushroom risotto had truffle oil, which I loved. It is a strong flavor, which some people might not enjoy, but I absolutely loved it.
Our food came out fairly quickly, we didn't have to wait too long. We really appreciate this since we had to make a tasting reservation in the afternoon. Service was average. There is a parking lot in the back, which is nice so you don't need to find street parking.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
