Motivation

AllThePlaces is an open source project which compiles from the websites of brands and operators a points of interest list which includes coordinates, address information, opening hours information, etc. Wikidata is already used fairly extensively by AllThePlaces, as well as Name Suggestion Index which is also relied upon by AllThePlaces. This property proposal will help both projects to catalogue the main web page of each brand/operator where they publish information on the location of their stores/locations.

Note this is a distinct property proposal for a primary web page (landing page) for location information of a brand/operator, and differs from the following related URLs:

• API endpoint URL which returns store location information as a JSON object: external data available at URL (P1325) would be used for this purpose
• Search URL for which there are parameters allowing the searching of stores/locations: search formatter URL (P4354) would be used for this purpose
• Location web page formatter URL: location URL match pattern (P11707) would be used instead to specify the format of individual web page URLs for each store/location of the brand/operator

The following related URLs may overlap:

• official map URL (P9601) may be the same URL as this property proposal, or could be a separate web page that is not the main landing page for location information on a brand/operator
• official website (P856) may be the same URL as this property proposal for brands/operators with small websites that are primarily just used for conveying location information
