Motivation
[edit]Notified participants of WikiProject Biographical Identifiers Surely authoritative resource regarding book circulation in the UK. I'm not sure about the best ID: using page title allows also the formatter URL https://bookowners.online/Special:Browse/:$1, while using page ID is usually the standard for MediaWiki websites (e.g. Salzburgwiki ID (P8854), Biographia Benedictina ID (P9455)) - but these website don't used Semantic MediaWiki, so the use of page ID doesn't contradict the possibility of using Special:Browse in order to see structured data, which seems pretty valuable indeed. --Epìdosis 12:10, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
Discussion
[edit]- Support This looks really interesting - I had seen the announcement of the project and meant to look into it a bit more. I can definitely see this being useful for early modern people. Regarding IDs, I think page title is OK - we use this for some other MediaWiki based sites, eg Dreadnought Project page (P4589), and it seems to work OK. Plus as you say it works with the browse function. Andrew Gray (talk) 17:45, 19 May 2021 (UTC)
