Matching to Wikidata

[edit]

Please bear in mind that certain topics are about facets of Canada. For example, the article on "Norwegians" is about "Norwegian Canadians", not "Norwegian people". For links to the above, see Q "Norwegian Canadians" via this diff. Another example would be "copyright law"[1]. Outriggr (talk) 23:07, 29 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Completion level

[edit]

When I suggest a property, I intend to do as much as I can with it. The mix n match catalog has only manual matches outstanding, but thousands of them. I am stopping now as I'm finding the various methods for matching using mix n match to be increasingly buggy (no label display beside the Q number until after it is matched; visual match hangs quite often; visual match does not bring up the most obvious candidates based on the title [label equality seems to count for nothing, e.g. Q item "time" was way down the list for url/"time"]). Also, there are many thousands of encyclopedia articles that the catalog creation did not find (and this catalog was made by the tool owner himself - thanks!). Therefore the completion level of this property is currently about 3600/19700 (the number of articles mentioned in the site's "about" page), or 18% completion. I'm simply leaving this message in case anyone else ever becomes curious about the property. Outriggr (talk) 03:40, 28 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
