New Conservative group leader Darren Millar has announced changes to the roles his colleagues play in the shadow cabinet. The Conservatives are the official opposition in the Senedd.

Mr Millar, the MS for Clwyd West, took over from Andrew RT Davies after Mr Davies quit despite having just won a confidence vote. Mr Davies said his position was "untenable". You can catch up on that here.

There is no role for his predecessor Mr Davies in the new cabinet, although he is expected to be nominated for a paid role chairing one of the Senedd committees.

Among the backroom changes are that the former MP for Monmouth, David TC Davies, who lost his seat in the 2024 general election has become his chief of staff. For our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation, sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here
