Seth Rogen Will Always Speak His Mind at an Awards Show

Once again, Seth Rogen is speaking truth to power at an awards shows. In 2021, he called out the Oscars for being less COVID safe than promised, and now he’s coming for whoever set up the cameras at the 2025 Golden Globes. “I want to start by saying this whole angled camera thing is very weird,” he said. “It is inelegant, it is strange. This half of the room can see my bald spot. I would have filled that in. I said no, but I regret that now completely.” Then he and Catherine O’Hara announced the winner of Best Actress in a Limited Series, Anthology, or TV Movie. (It was Jodie Foster for True Detective: Night Country, btw.)

There have been a few technical whoopsies during this Golden Globes. Ariana DeDose was stuck reading Nikki Glaser’s lines from the teleprompter, someone’s text notifications went off during Hiroyuki Sanada’s acceptance speech for Shōgun, and there were multiple ads for pharmaceuticals that warned of infections in the anus or genitals. But hey, big night for Emilia Pérez!
