Jaymi Heimbuch is a writer and photographer specializing in wildlife conservation and green technology. She was also Treehugger's in-house recipe developer and food photographer. She is the founder of the Urban Coyote Initiative and the host of “Impact,” a conservation photography podcast.
Heimbuch covered technology, wildlife conservation, and ocean issues for Treehugger and Mother Nature Network (now part of Treehugger) from 2008 to 2017. She is the host of “Impact,” a weekly conservation photography podcast. She is also the founder and director of the Urban Coyote Initiative, an ongoing photography project documenting the stories and science of urban coyotes across North America. Previously, Heimbuch served as managing editor for EcoGeek.org. Heimbuch's recipes and food photography have been a staple in Treehugger's sustainable eating category.
An award-winning wildlife photographer, Heimbuch teaches photography workshops and offers project consultation to photographers on the Oregon coast.
