Meghan Markle said she has "cried too many tears to count" as she announced the death of her beloved rescue beagle.
The Duchess of Sussex took to Instagram on Tuesday night to share the sad news that her dog Guy has died. The former Suits star posted a video to social media which featured a series of pictures and videos of her dog.
Alongside the montage Meghan wrote, "Because many of you will now see Guy in this new series, I hope you'll come to understand why I am so devastated by his loss. I think you may fall a little bit in love too."

She admitted, "I have cried too many tears to count - the type of tears that make you get in the shower with the absurd hope that the running water on your face will somehow make you not feel them, or pretend they're not there. But they are. And that's okay too."
Meghan then thanked Guy for showing her "so many years of unconditional love" before adding, "you filled my life in ways you'll never know."
The Duchess of Sussex adopted Guy from a dog rescue in Canada in 2015. She explained how he had been at a kill shelter in Kentucky and was given just days to live before she rescued him.
In the tribute, Meghan said, "They referred to him as 'the little guy' because he was so small and frail, so I named him 'Guy'. And he was the best guy any girl could have asked for."
Guy has accompanied Meghan during a number of major milestones. He was with the former actress during her time on Suits and also when she got engaged to Prince Harry.
Guy was also by Meghan's side when she became a mom to her two children - Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Meghan said, "He was with me for everything: the quiet, the chaos, the calm, the comfort."
Sadly, Guy suffered a "terrible accident" shortly before Meghan moved to the U.K. and he had to undergo a number of surgeries. Meghan wrote, "Doctors said he would never walk again, but Dr Noel Fitzpatrick said he could do it. H and I would drive late at night, after hours, to see Guy as he recovered in Surrey for months on end."
She added, "I will always be grateful to Noel and his team, the team at Queen West Animal Hospital in TO, our vets now, and my friends and community: Thank you for loving him so."
