Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck have officially settled their divorce ending their two-year-long marriage and are now asking a judge to finalize their breakup.
On Monday, Jan. 6, Jennifer filed documents in Los Angeles Superior Court that proved the former couple settled their divorce through mediation in September, approximately a month after she filed. The divorce will be officially finalized on Feb. 20 exactly six months after J.Lo initially filed. Once a judge gives the final stamp of approval on their split, Jennifer will also be dropping 'Affleck' from her legal name.
According to reports by AP, the former Hollywood couple will not be paying any spousal support and will walking away with the money they made on their individual projects and business endeavors. For Jennifer, this includes the money she made from a number of movies she starred in during their marriage including Atlas, This Is Me Now, The Mother, Shotgun Wedding, and Marry Me.

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck determined to 'be in each other's lives' despite divorce
As for Ben, the 52-year-old star will be keeping all of the profits he made from his cut in his production company Artists Equity as well as his films The Accountant 2, Flash, Air, Clerks, Deep Water, and Hypnotic. The pair have also reached an agreement on their shared $61 million Los Angeles estate, but these terms have remained confidential. The lavish property is currently on the real estate market, but has not been scooped up by any buyers yet.
J.Lo filed for divorce from the Gone Girl star in August following a summer filled with divorce speculation. During their relationship, the pair created a blended family together with children they welcomed from their previous marriages. And while they are calling it quits on their love, a source claims that they are determined to still stay in each others lives.
Ben shares three children with his ex-wife Jennifer Garner — Violet, 18, Fin, 15, and Samuel, 12 — while Jennifer shares 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Marc Anthony. Speaking to Page Six, an insider said: "Ben and Jennifer are still connected and they do communicate when it involves their kids. They have every intention of continuing to be in each other’s lives despite not being romantically involved."
