Three boxers from the Elite Gym in Halliwell secured wins on a busy weekend of ring action for the club with fights in Bolton and Oldham on the same evening.

Rawtenstall fighter, Aaron Hayden, was first up in Oldham and he dispatched his experienced Nicaraguan opponent, Nestor Maradiaga, after winning his eighth fight, scoring a fifth-round stoppage.

Hayden is now waiting on a huge title shot opportunity expected to be announced shortly.

Meanwhile, Yousif Saeed won a very comfortable points decision by 40-36 after four rounds against former ABA champion and foe who he had met in the amateurs, Owen Durnam.

Salford fighter Saeed won a unanimous decision, looking very impressive in only his third bout showing why he was a top-class amateur and is adapting to the professional sport very quickly.

The third Elite boxer, Imad Naseeb, also won his third professional outing alongside stablemate Saeed at the Toughsheet Community Stadium.

By being busy from the start and putting his opponent on the back foot under intense pressure where his opponent was warned several times for holding, Naseeb won comfortably by a unanimous decision showing big improvements from his last outing two months ago

Both Naseeb and Saeed are now looking to step up to six rounds in their next bouts - likely in February - and all are following their stablemate Abdul Khan who recently won his first professional title.
