Look! 57 New DVD and Book Releases for 2024-2025!
A Fantastic Batch of New Film and Book Releases
First off, we've got 47 New DVD titles. In the horror genre, don't miss CLAWS OF IRON (1951), which is a terrific "hairy monster" Japanese chiller; HELP ME...I'M POSSESSED (1974) is truly one of the best "bad" movies of all time; RIGHT HAND OF THE DEVIL (1963) is a gritty low budget horror film, the likes of which you've never seen before. Moving over to science fiction, you'll definitely want to check out the Russian hard sci-fi classic, MYSTERY OF THE ETERNAL NIGHT (1956); then there's LEVEL SEVEN (1965), which is an engaging Brit made-for-TV futuristic thriller; and BEAST OF YUCCA FLATS (1961) is finally available in its original 1.85 Anamorphic format. Over in Sword and Sandal we've got a great two-disc set, THE LAST ROMAN (1968) with Orson Welles and finally available with English subtitles. In the Mystery-Crime-Film Noir section you don't want to miss THE BLUE RIDER (1959), which is a wonderful Arne Mattsson thriller-chiller; Jack Hulbert is priceless in the Bulldog Drummond spinoff, BULLDOG JACK (1935); a real surprise is SMOKESCREEN (1964) with Peter Vaughan in a terrific British whodunit; and of course it's hard to beat William Powell in the classic mystery THE CANARY MURDER CASE (1929). For those of you who like spy and espionage thrillers, we've got three Eddie Constantine titles, two of which are THE DIAMOND MACHINE (1955) and SECRET AGENT JEFF GORDON (1963), both with English subs.. Edgar Wallace and Krimi fans will surely enjoy our special two disc Special Edition of DEAD EYES OF LONDON (1961) as well as the wonderful early Wallace German classic THE DOPPELGANGER (1934) now available with English subtitles for the first time; HOTEL OF DEAD GUESTS features Krimi regulars Karin Dor and Joachim Fuchsberger and is also available with English subs for the first time. Plus there are MANY other great new DVD titles. Keep in mind, almost all titles from 1956 on up are available in their original Anamorphic formats. AND FINALLY, we've got ten (10) new Armchair Fiction releases, all Mystery Double Novels that are bound to satisfy your appetite for whodunit thrills (see bottom of home page). So start perusing the Sinister website to take in all these great new releases.
