specializes in the production and
distribution of goods under one

Location of industry
This can be defined as the sitting or
establishing of a firm in a particular
place. Industries can be located or
sited by individuals or government
for profit making or rendering of
services.\
Industries are located at areas where
the cost of production are lowest.
Factors influencing the location of
industry
• Nearness to source of raw materials.
• Nearness to market
• Availability to capital
• Availability of labour
• Availability of good transport network
• There should be political stability
• Favourable climate
• Government policy
