1. INTRODUCTION

You will get a star


and you have to
write a number or a
word that is
important in your
life, on each corner
of the star. Then you
share it with a
classmate.

Step 1: You will be split up in groups.


Step 2: Choose one representative
of the group.
Step 3: You will be given a word or
phrase, and you have

Step 4: Once the picture is done,
your group has to guess what it is!
They will have 30 seconds to come

different situations and you
will have to come up with a
dialogue.
After each conversation you
will provide some feedback on
how they handle the situation.
4. Cultural Sensitivity
To help students develop a deeper
understanding of cultural sensitivity and
the importance on this field.

• What kind of cultural awareness do you as


service industry students need to know
concerning:
• Greetings, language, cultural heritages,
dietary restrictions, cultural significance of
the food
• Activity: Get in groups or pair according to
your study field and give a brief
presentation on the importance of cultural
sensitivity in tourism and gastronomy.

5. Problem – solving case scenarios
To help students develop students practice critical problem-
solving skills while simulating real-world challenges in
tourism and gastronomy.

Activity: You will be given different


problems and you and your
classmate (s) have to come with
possible solutions.
