CHARADES
TENSE
refers to time as in present, past, and
future. Aspect has to do with the form or
structure of the action happening at any
time. The aspect of a verb is determined
by whether the action is on-going or
completed.

ASPECTS
OF VERBS
A. SIMPLE ASPECT
The simple aspect is indefinite,
not sure if the action is on-going
or completed. It may also indicate
if the action is habitual or repeated
action.
B. PROGRESSIVE ASPECT
In the progressive aspect, the action
is still taking place or on-going.
C. PERFECT ASPECT
In the perfect aspect, the task is
already completed.

The base form and the -s form of
verbs are present tense forms.
The -s form of a verb is the present
tense singular. The base form is the
present tense plural verb.

OF VERBS
A. PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
The present perfect tense is used to
express an action that happened at an
unspecified time before the present time
or an action that started in the past and
continues until present.
A. PRESENT PERFECT TENSE
Expressions such as ever, never, once,
many times, several times, before, so far,
already, and yet are used with a verb in
the present perfect tense.
Verb form: has/have + past participle of
the verb

She has been a good dancer since grade

B. PAST PERFECT TENSE
The past perfect is used to express a
past action that occurred before another
past action happened. The expression
