He was born in Indiana’s small farm village on 9 th September
1890.
His father died when Sanders was 6 years old
He used to work with his mother all day because he was the
elder son.
Age 7: Expert in bread making and setting up the vegetables
on the shelf
Age 10: First job (Feed animal in a farm) FIRED
Age 12: He went to relative house because Sander’s mother
got married and his step father don’t like Harland Sanders
Start the same job of feeding animals in the farms (6,o clock)

 He left his school because it was difficult for him to learn

 Age 16: Join US Army (He make fake papers that his age is 20
because the requirement of US Army for selection start from Age
20)
 When Army Know his real Age FIRED
 Age 17-23: Rail Road, Farmer, Driver, Insurance guy, Steam boat
operator, sell tyres etc. FIRED
 Age 24: He work at gas station at Kentucky, he was a goods sales
man
 Age 40: In 1929 Due to economic decline he was FIRED
 In 1930 Shell offer him a job where he use to work as a sales man
and introduce an idea of selling food for the customers.

 Harland Sander’s Court & Cafe restaurant was introduced by
him that has the capacity to serve 142 customers at a time
 Problem (Customers were impatient since it took approximately
30 minutes to cook the fried chicken.)

 Age 52: 1942, World War 2- He close the restaurant
 In 1945: After world war 2, Sanders friend offer him to once
again open a restaurant on Kentucky Highway
 Kentucky Governor rank him as Colonel Sanders
 Government starts new highway, so therefore 90% of traffic
diverted to new highway that affect the profitability of his
business
