    3 CHRISTIAN VALUES

    FIRST: COMPASSION

    SECOND: ENDURANCE

    LASTLY: HOPE
    COMPASSION
    • John 11:33-35
    • 11:33 When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who
    had come along with her also weeping, he was deeply
    moved in spirit and troubled. 34 “Where have you laid
    him?” he asked.

    • “Come and see, Lord,” they replied.

    • 35 Jesus wept.
    COMPASSION

    JESUS SHOWED HIS COMPASSION TO US BY BEING WITH US IN OUR


    HARDEST TIMES, JESUS WEEP WITH US, JUST LIKE THE STORY OF THE
    GRAVE OF LAZARUS, JESUS WEPT WITH THE PEOPLE AROUND HIM AS
    THEY WEEP FOR LAZARUS.
    PERSEVERANCE
    • In the story of Job, God tests Job’s faithfulness through
    allowing Satan to attack him. Job’s friends give him plenty
    of bad advice, in rounds of discussion. God speaks to Job
    and restores him. God knows that Job has received
    incorrect guidance from his friends, “Who is this that
    darkens counsel by words without knowledge?” God
    fittingly declares that humans do not know everything. In
    the end, Job answers God by saying, ‘I have declared
    that which I did not understand.’ God then blessed Job
    with twice as much as he had before his trials began.”
    PERSEVERANCE

    WHEN JESUS TESTED JOB IT TAUGHT US PERSEVERANCE AND ENDURANCE, BECAUSE NO


    MATTER HOW HARD THE PROBLEMS SATAN GAVE TO JOB, JOB STILL PRAISE AND WORSHIP
    JESUS, JOB ENDURED ALL THE SUFFERINGS AND PRAISED JESUS, JOB DIDN’T LET HIS
    SUFFERINGS BROKE HIS TRUST IN JESUS.

    Persistence in doing something despite difficulty or delay in achieving success


    HOPE
    • Hope means that God is for us. In the Bible in 2 Corinthians we
    read, "...God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not
    counting people's sins against them. And he has committed to us
    the message of reconciliation ... We implore you on Christ's
    behalf: Be reconciled to God. God made him who had no sin to be
    sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of
    God."
    • Hope means that our past need not limit our future. Sometimes
    our sense of sin, shame, or regret keeps us moored to the past.
    But Theodore Jennings is right on target when he says, "...the
    forgiveness of sins ... is the word and action in which God's rule
    draws near to us, shattering the bonds we are held by."
    HOPE

    JESUS IS OUR HOPE, JESUS SHOWED US HOPE WHEN HE DIED ON THE CROSS, HE
    ENDURED THE PAIN TO GIVE US HOPE AND REPENT FOR OUR SINS, WITHOUT JESUS
    WE ARE NOTHING, WITHOUT HIM WE ALREADY DIED CAUSE OF OUR SINS. JESUS
    SHOWED HIS COMPASSION TO US BY ENDURING THE PAIN ON THE CROSS AND GAVE
    US A SECOND CHANCE TO AVOID MAKING SINS, JESUS GAVE US HOPE. JESUS IS THE
    HOPE OF THE WORLD.

    THE CROSS JUST TO SAVE US.

    • JESUS SHOWED COMPASSION • JESUS IS OUR HOPE,


    BY BEING WITH US EVERYDAY LIFE AND WORLD.
    • EVEN THOUGH WE COMMIT
    SINS, JESUS STILL LOVES US
    AND KEEP GIVING US HOPE.
