Treaty: This is a legal agreement between two or more parties, usually countries of
governments, which formally ends a war between the two parties.
The two main treaties signed during WW1 were the treaty of Versailles
and the Armistice.
VERSAILLES
The treaty of Versailles, signed in 1919 at the
Palace of Versailles in Paris at the end of WW1
codified peace terms between Germany and the
victorious Allies. The treaty held Germany solely
responsible and imposedTserious penalties on the
Germans including heavy reparations, loss of
territory, e.t.c. It was signed on June 28, 1919 and
went into effect January 10, 1920.
