- relating to an individuals emotions and
relationship to society.
- This aspects refers to a person initiating,
cultivating and responding to others.
Business leader says that social-emotional
skills are essential to achieve succession of the
business.
Relationship-building, problem solving,
collaboration, and assertiveness are all commonly
known as skills for socio-emotional.
Some ways to practice social emotional:
❖ Practice listening to coworkers
- sometimes a colleague might need a moment
to talk about an issue or just tell you about their day.
Verbalize how you’re feeling
-if you are having trouble understanding your
feelings or emotions during a workday, consider
talking them out loud.
❖ Accept emotions and check behaviors
-if you are analyzing yourself, this process can be
a great way to manage your emotions at work if you are
feeling stressed and anxious.
❖ Focus on empathy
-if you are frustrated with a colleague at work,
consider looking at the situation from their perspective.
❖Set goals
- if you are having trouble completing your work
throughout the day, consider setting small goals for
yourself.
❖ Maintain positive mindset
-if you struggle to keep a positive attitude as you
work, consider analyzing those emotions and providing
counterpoints.
We can improve or boost our socio-emotional
stability to have a better work environment in a way
of building a rapport with someone we are
comfortable with at office. Creating healthy
friendship helps to de-stress during the breaks and it
brings emotional stability and the vigour to get back
to work.

-understanding your emotions, thoughts and
how they influence your behavior.

-the ability to regulate your emotions and
behaviors in different situations and to set the work
towards the goals.

-the ability to make positive choices and take
responsibility for positive and negative outcomes.

-the ability to take the perspective and emphatize
with others.
❖ Relationship skills
-ability to establish and maintain healthy and
meaningful relationships with others.
Social emotional learning is vital because
it teaches them crucial life skills, including the
ability to understand themselves, develop a
positive self-image, take responsibility for
their actions, and forge relationships with the
people around them.
