• BA focuses on developing new insights and understanding of business
performance based on data and statistical methods.
• It is a field which combines data, information technique, statistical analysis,
quantitative methods and computer based models into one.
• These all are combined to provide decision makers all the possible scenarios to
make a well thought and researched decision.

• Business analytics (BA) is the practice of iterative, methodical exploration of an
organization’s data with emphasis on statistical analysis.
• Business analytics is used by companies committed to data-driven decision
making.
