Social awkwardness is not a mental issue, this can happen to anyone. Social awkwardness is more about the feeling of someone who doesn't feel familiar and embarrassed when they meet or talk to other people. Socially awkward people might have a hard time navigating conversations or working their way into a group. As a result, they might seem a bit “off” to others. 01 The Problem When awkwardness happens Who Is Most Susceptible to Social Awkwardness? People who have social awkwardness are also often referred to as introverts. In general, introverts usually don't like social gatherings, prefer to be in slightly crowded places and have hobbies that they do individually. Maybe, because these socially awkward people are more likely to do activities or things they think are more comfortable to do it alone, this is what makes them feel awkward when meeting and talking to other people, outside of their comfort zone. Conflict Resolution Introverts themselves are typical of people who prefer to spend time alone or with one or two friends they feel close to. An introvert knows when is the time for them to socializing. Introverts often need time alone to recharge after being in a social environment. Conflict Resolution How we can deal with it? There are several ways to overcome social awkwardness: 1. Encourage yourself to practice talking to yourself in your room. 2. Don't always think that other people pay attention to you, focus on yourself. 3. Communicate more often with your parents or family about your problems or what you are feeling right now. 4. Don't overthink about how you should behave to people, just be yourself. 5. Often get out of the house just to say hello to the neighbors. 03 Conclusio n There are many reasons that can cause people experiencing social awkwardness but that doesn’t mean that this problem cannot be solved.
