Adjectives
How can I use an adjective in a sentence?
In a sentence:

1. The adjective is placed BEFORE the noun.


Example: The BLUE ruler.
The HAPPY children.
My ELEGANT sofa.

2. The adjective is also placed AFTER the verb “to be”.


Example: The ruler is BLUE.
The children are HAPPY.
My sofa is ELEGANT.

Questions and Answers: Around the House
Directions: Group work. Create questions about the room in the picture. You can
use question words like Where…? and What color…? or make yes/no questions starting with
Is… After you are finished, another group will answer your questions.
