• +/- TENS • Avoid bending


• Hot fomentation • Avoid Heavy weight-lifting
• Lumbosacral Belt • Sleep on a firm, hard surface
TREAT THE CAUSE

1. DISC HERNIATION: LAMINECTOMY AND DISCECTOMY


2. STENOSIS: DECOMPRESSION (UNI/MULTILEVEL)
3. TUMOR: EXCISION
4. TRAUMA: DECOMPRESSION +/- FIXATION
5. INFECTION: ABX vs. DEBRIDEMENT/ DECOMPRESSION
6. HEMORRHAGE: DRAINAGE
