    1.Softwood, the woody group of needle


    leaves comes from the order Coniferales
    within the subdivision Gymnosperms

    2.Hardwood, broadleaf woody group comes


    from the subdivision Angiosperms in the
    class Dicotyledons
     WHYARE WOODY PLANTS DIVIDED IN
    HALF?
     In the world of growth there are 4 divisions,
    namely:
    1. Thallophyta (algae, fungi)
    2. Bryophtya (moss)
    3. Pteridophytes (ferns)
    4. Spermatophyta (seed plants)

     In these four divisions, only the Spermatophyta


    division produces wood
