Material that needed Method :
• Measure on your hand wrist (radial pulse)
• Place your pointer and middle fingers on the inside of your opposite
wrist just below the thumb.
Finger tip / heart rate counter device • Don’t use your thumb to check your pulse, as the artery in your
thumb can make it harder to count accurately.
• Once you can feel your pulse, count how many beats you feel in 15
seconds.
• Multiply this number by 4 to get your heart rate. For instance, 20
beats in 15 seconds equals a heart rate of 80 beats per minute (bpm).
• Repeat the measurement in three times to get an accurate number

Conclusion
-The purpose of this experiment was to determine the effects of exercise on heart rate. We did this by
doing a series of activities that affected heart rate, including sitting, standing, walking, jogging, and
running. The data showed that the heart rate increased with increasing exercise, going from xx bpm for
walking up to xx bpm for running, so the data did support the hypothesis.
-The purpose of this lab was to determine the effects of diet on heart rate. We did this by checking the
heart rate before and after eating on breakfast/lunch/dinner time. The data showed that the heart rate
increased with increasing exercise, going from xx bpm for walking up to xx bpm for running, so the
data did support the hypothesis.
-In my opinion, Age is really matter for the effect of the heart rate, like my data, my brother has more
heart rate than me, and the weight also matter for the heart rate, for my conclusion, the more older you
are, the faster your heart rate.
