    FOUNDATION
    • EXCAVATION CARRIED OUT FOR BORED CAST IN SITU
    PILE BY BAILOR(OR ROTARYDRILL) , BORES SHALL BE
    WASHED BY FRESH BENTONITE SOLUTION PRIOR TO
    CONCRETING & AFTER REINFORCEMENT.
    • THE TREMIE USED FOR CONCRETING SHALL HAVE
    UNIFORM & SMOOTH CROSS SECTION INSIDE & SHALL BE
    WITHDRAWN SLOWLY ENSURING ADEQUATE HT. OF
    CONCRETE OUTSIDE. TREMIE PIPE SHOULD ALWAYS BE
    KEPT FULL OF CONCRETE.
    • 75MM CLEAR COVER TO BE KEPT .ALSO 10% MORE
    CEMENT TO BE ADDED FOR CONCRETING.

    • WHILE LOWERING CAGE OF STEEL, IT SHALL BE TRULY
    VERTICAL WITH DUE DEVELOPMENT\ANCHOR
    LENGTH .CLOSER SPACING OF STIRRUPS IN ANCHORAGE
    ZONE.ALSO LAP SHALL BE AT MIN. PLACES(INSTEAD OF 5`
    TO 6 Ft HT.,`IT SHALL BE AT 12` TO 15 `)
    • STEEL OF PILE TO BE FULLY EXTENDED IN PILE CAP.
    • IN PILE CAP MIN. OFFSET OF 150MM SHALL BE PROVIDED
    BEYOND OUTERFACES OF OUTERMOST PILES IN THE
    GROUP.
    • IF P ILE CAP IS IN CONTACT WITH EARTH AT BOTTOM, MIN.
    80MM THK. PCC SHALL BE PROVIDED AROUND PILE CAP.

    • NO CONSTRUCTION JOINT SHALL BE ALLOWED FOR PILE &
    PILE CAP. IN SINGLE DAY CASTING.
    • PILES LOCATION & DIM. TO BE CHECKED BEFORE
    DRILLING & CASTING.IF NOT MATCHING,PILECAP HAVE TO
    BE REDESIGNED
    • IF BRIDGE HAS CONSIDERABLE LENGTH,PILE SHALL BE
    CHECKED BY ROUTINE LOAD TEST. UNIFORM & EVENELY
    PLACED LOADING TO BE APPLIED GRADUALLY.IF
    SETTLEMENT OF PILE IS MORE THAN 12MM,REDESIGN IS
    REQUIRED & PROVISION OF EXTRA PILE.
    • FOR 80\100 PILES GENERALLY 4 TO 5 % PILE AS PER
    TENDER SHALL BE CHECKED.

    • LINE & LVL. OF ALL MEMBERS TO BE
    PERFECT..PARAPET OF BRIDGE TO BE IN ONE
    LINE.
    • CONSTRUCTION JT. IN DECK SLAB SHALL BE
    KEPT 1’ BELOW DECK SLAB`S SOFFIT IN GIRDER.
    • PRECAMBERING IN MAIN GIRDER`S SOFFIT.TAR
    PAPE BEARING UPTO 12MT. SPAN & 20MM
    EXPANSION JT IN DECK SLAB.
    • IN FIXING PIFE BEARING ,SLEEVE FOR BOLT
    FIXATION SHALL BE IN REQUIRED LOCATION.
    QUALITY CONTROL POINTS FOR
    SUPER STRUCTURE
    • IN PSC BRIDGE, ROOM(SPACE) FOR JACK,DUCT PULLING
    REINFORCEMENT & OTHER EQUIPMENT SHALL BE KEPT IN
    POSITION & ROOM FOR WORKING.SPACE
    • STAGGERED SPLICING & OVERLAPPING \DEVELOPMENT LENGTH
    BEND,HOOK &EXTRA STEEL SHALL BE TAKEN CARE OF WITH
    DUE COVER.
    • WEARING COURSE &DECK SLAB SHALL BE VIBRATED WITH SKID
    VIBRATOR & DEEP BEAM COMPACTED WITH FORM VIBRATOR.
    • MIN. CONSTRUCTION JT IS ADVISABLE FOR PIER &
    ABUTMENT SO LIFT OF WELL SHALL BE MIN. 12` TO 15`.
    • WALL TYPE PIER, R.C.C. CIRCULAR COLUMN & RCC
    HOLLOW PIER SHALL HAVE STAGGERED SPLICES.
