ABSTRACT
Drowning has been a major global injury issue and is the second largest
explanation for accidental injuries and deaths, only after accidents because of
road traffics. It accounts for 3,20,000 cases yearly and a major cause for
accidental death globally. The paper will be an amalgam of innovation and
traditional techniques. These systems could be life saver for a person drowning.
The signal received by the receiver can be sent to lifeguard, parent, poolside
workstation or neighbor, in directive to authorize the rescuer will furnish immediate
help. In addition, to the proposed solution we used GSM technology to establish
the data link. This device transfers real time data in case the threshold is crossed
INTRODUCTION
This system is particularly valuable for locations such as swimming pools,
beaches, or even natural water bodies where monitoring individuals in the water
can be challenging.
The system operates by employing various sensors and algorithms to detect signs
of distress or unusual behavior in the water, which might indicate a drowning
incident.
Once a potential incident is detected, it utilizes the GSM network to send
immediate alerts to designated recipients, enabling rapid response and potentially
saving live
LITERATURE REVIEW
Author: Dr. John A. Smith
Title: "A Comprehensive Review of Drowning Detection Systems Using GSM and Remote
Alert Technologies"
Description: In this comprehensive review, Dr. John A. Smith examines the evolution of
drowning detection systems that leverage GSM and remote alert capabilities. The paper
explores various sensor technologies, such as accelerometers and depth sensors, and
their integration into drowning detection systems. Dr. Smith discusses the critical role of
GSM networks in enabling real-time alerts and the potential for these systems to enhance
water safety in both public and private aquatic environments. The review also addresses
challenges, including false alarms and system reliability, and proposes directions for
future research in this vital field.
Author: Dr. Emily R. Johnson
Title: "Advances in Drowning Detection: A Comparative Analysis of GSM-Enabled
Remote Alert Systems"
Description: Dr. Emily R. Johnson's literature review focuses on recent advances in
drowning detection systems that utilize GSM technology for remote alerts. The paper
provides a comparative analysis of various systems available in the market, discussing
their accuracy, response times, and ease of implementation. Dr. Johnson examines case
studies and real-world applications of these systems in aquatic settings, highlighting
successful instances of drowning prevention. Additionally, the review considers the cost-
effectiveness and scalability of GSM-enabled drowning detection solutions, making it a
valuable resource for both researchers and practitioners in the field of water safety.
