Formula One

• What is formula one?

Formula One, also called F1 in short, is an international auto racing
sport. F1 is the highest level of single-seat, open-wheel and open-cockpit
professional motor racing contest. ... The name 'Formula' comes from the
set of rules that the participating cars and drivers must follow by the FIA.
• Lets note that formula one cars are the fastest cars around a Race
Track.
• A points system is used at Grands Prix to determine two
annual World Championships: one for drivers, the other
for constructors.  The races must run on tracks graded "1"
(formerly "A"), the highest grade-rating issued by the FIA.
• The average annual cost of running a team – designing,
building, and maintaining cars, pay, transport – being
approximately 247 million $, its financial and political battles
are widely reported.
Qualifying and pole position
• Qualifying. The qualifying session happens on Saturday
afternoons and decides the drivers' starting positions in the
race from 1 to 20. It's split into three rounds of qualifying called
Q1, Q2 and Q3. In qualifying, drivers are on track at the same
time, and are allowed to do as many laps as they want in this
time.
• Pole Position is a term used to describe the position which lies at
the front of the starting grid. This gives the driver in pole
the advantage of starting ahead of all the other drivers. This
advantage is such that, in all races in Formula One history, more
than 40% of race wins have come from pole.

Championships, 15 Drivers' Championships and has 231 race
victories to its name (the highest number among all teams
