Discipleship

Introduction Of –
Discipleship
Introduction
• As it is written in the book of Ephesians, “His intent was that now,
THROUGH THE CHURCH, the manifold wisdom of God should be
made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly
realms.” Eph 3:10
• The church does not exist for itself. It exists in the midst
of a lost world, not to condemn those in such a state but
to shine like stars, to give out to each generation the
Word of life (Phil 2:15-16), and to declare the praises of
Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful
light (1 Pet 2:9). To whom are we to declare His praises?
To our families. To our brothers and sisters in Christ. To
the non-Christian world around us.
Discipleship
• “All authority has been given to Me in heaven
and earth. Therefore Go and make Disciples of
all the nations, Baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
Teaching them to observe all that I
commanded you; and lo, I am with you
always, even to the end of the age.” -- Jesus
Christ (Mt.28:18-20)

• Jesus taught with authority
Discipleship
• Even the winds and waves obeyed Him
• He claimed the authority on earth to forgive
sins
• He had authority with a simple word to cast
out demons
• heal every disease, and raise the dead –
• And even to delegate this rightful power to His
disciples
