Apple Strudel – Austria:


Apple strudel is a popular pastry in Austria that once
belonged to the Austro-Hungarian Empire (1867–
1918).

A trifle is a layered dessert that contains custard,
sherry cake, fruit, jam and whipped cream.

A soufflé is a baked egg-based dish originating in
France in the early eighteenth century.

Tiramisu – Italy:
Tiramisu is a no-bake Italian dessert combining
espresso-dipped ladyfingers and a creamy lightly
sweetened mascarpone cream.

Types of cheese from all around the world:

Brie – France:
• Brie is a soft cow’s milk cheese that originated in France.
• It’s pale yellow with an edible rind of white mold.

Gouda – Holland:
• Gouda has its roots in the southern regions of the
Netherlands.
• Typically made from cow’s milk, this semi-hard cheese is
characterized by its caramel-like flavor.

Cheddar – England:
• Cheddar cheese is a relatively hard, off-white or orange,
sometimes sharp-tasting.
• Originating in the English village of Cheddar.
• Cheddar is the most popular type of cheese in the UK.

Gruyère – Switzerland:
• Gruyère is a smooth-melting type of Swiss cheese that's
made from whole cow's milk.
• It is named after the town of Gruyères.
• It is sweet but slightly salty, with a flavor changes widely
with age.
Types of Coffee & Tea Drinks

Espresso:
• Espresso are made by steeping beans
with hot water.
• Espresso is made of extra-dark beans,
that are run through a pressurized
machine that produces only one,
highly-concentrated shot at a time.
A cappuccino is an espresso-based coffee drink that originated in
Italy, and is traditionally prepared with steamed milk foam.

An Irish coffee is a combination of coffee, sugar, cream, and


whiskey.
Lotus tea is, originated in China, it is made from lotus leaves,
flowers, roots, fruit, and seeds .

Herbal teas are beverages made from the decoction of herbs,


spices, or other plant material in hot water.
Placing your coffee order:
A barista is someone who makes coffee.
There are a few things a barista can say,
such as:
• May I take your order?
• What would you like?
• What can I get you?
• What will you have?
The customer can answer in a few
different ways, such as:
• I would like (say the size first, then the
type of coffee, and then the type of milk
or extras).
• I’ll have small cappuccino with caramel
syrup.
• Can I get large iced latte with low fat
milk?
Another question:
• Is that for here, or to take away?

The answer:
• For here
• To take away
• To go

After your order, the barista might


say:
• Will that be all?
• Is that everything?
• Would you like anything else?
To tell the total cost:
• Your total is…
• That comes to…
• That will be…
When handing over the money you can say:
• Here you are.
• Here you go.
Barista: Hi, what will you have?
Customer: I’d like a large café latte.
Barista: Will that be all?
Customer: Yes, thank you.
Barista: Is that for here or to go?
Customer: To go.
Barista: Your total comes to $4.
Customer: Here you go. Thanks very much.
Barista: Thank you. Have a nice day.

restaurant:
