INTEGRATED SOFTWARE
APPLICATIONS

Course Description
The course is an integration of popular software
applications in word processing, spreadsheet,
presentation and graphics, desktop publishing and
database management system.

3 contact hours per week (54 hours)

At the end of the course, the students shall be able to:

 Know and understand the history of computers;

 Show the impact of ICT in the contemporary society;

 Acquire dexterity in word processing, spreadsheet,


presentation, and desktop publishing; AND

 Critique the influence of information on modern living


and human relationships.
Course Policies
 Students with reasonable absences from the class will be given
consideration for the missed quizzes/examinations upon presentation of a
duly signed excused letter;

 Students who incurred more than 20% of the required number of hours
shall be dropped from the rolls;

 Submission of projects shall be on or before the due date agreed upon by


the students and the faculty. Late submission will earn a grade of 3.0;

 Use of cellphones, earphones, and other gadgets that are not necessary
for the instruction is strictly prohibited;

 Cheating during examination is strictly prohibited; students caught doing


such act shall be dealt with as provided in the Student Handbook

The final grade of each student will be computed as follows:

Computation of Scores
Midterm/Final Examination 30%
Quizzes/Recitation/Project/Problem Sets 30%
Performance (skill based; psychomotor)40%
